The College of Physical Therapy held its General Orientation on September 30, 2025, marking the beginning of another year in academic pursuit and professional growth. Anchored on the theme โ€œ : Moving Forward with Purpose,โ€ the program highlighted the key foundations of growth, discipline, and service that will shape the journey of every determinadong KaPTids throughout the Academic Year 2025-2026.

Through this orientation, the College of Physical Therapy reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing competent, service-driven, and purpose-oriented future physical therapists, laying the groundwork for their success in both academic life and future professional practice.

๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—”๐—— | The New Era Biology Society, under the College of Arts and Sciences, held a seminar titled โ€œBreaking Barriers, Building Solutions: A Unified Response to Leptospirosis in the Philippinesโ€ on October 5, 2025 at the University Hall. Students from various colleges attended the lecture.

The discussion featured key insights from Leptospirosis Awareness, Warning, and Action or LAWA PH team, a project that provides national research updates and policy support for Leptospirosis control in the Philippines through the One Health approach:

โ€ข Prof. Rodel Victor D. Dimasin highlighted the One Health vision, stressing the link between human, animal, and environmental health and the need for collective action.

โ€ข Prof. Khristine L. Sandoval explained how climate change and poor sanitation spread leptospirosis and introduced LAWA PH to promote awareness and community involvement.

โ€ข Prof. Ryan V. Labana emphasized education and sanitation as vital measures when infrastructure solutions are limited.

An open forum followed, and Prof. Kristel Joy S. Cada, International Relations Officer and LAWA PH Co-Author, concluded by emphasizing the power of unified efforts in the fight against leptospirosis.
