Growth happens when you start doing the things you're not very good at🌱

This may be the end of our time at Sintang Paaralan, but it is only the beginning of your journey.

Until you proudly toss your graduation cap into the air.
Until you sing the PUP Hymn one last time as students.
Until you land your very first job.
Until life teaches you lessons through both failure and success.
Until you achieve the goals you've been working so hard for.
Until you build the future you've always dreamed of.
Never stop learning. Never be afraid to make mistakes.

Every challenge you face is another opportunity to grow into the person and engineer you are meant to become.

I may no longer be your instructor, but I will always be cheering you on from afar.

Congratulations, future Industrial Engineers Batch 2026!!!🙌🏻👏🏻 I'm proud of each one of you🫶🏻

Until we meet again✨

May next year pa para bumawi, mas handa, mas matatag at susubok muli.

Minsan, may mga laban talagang hindi agad ibinibigay sa atin— not because we are not capable, but because life is preparing us for something greater through the process.

Babawi kayo. Babalik kayo.
At sa tamang panahon, magtatagumpay rin kayo.🫂

WSM Final Project Presentation 2026 🌱
Grateful to have served another 2 sections for one meaningful semester.

It’s more than learning IE principles, it’s about building life principles—with a bit of sh*ts.

“THE GOAL IS NOT JUST BECOME AN ENGINEER FAST, BUT BECOME AN ENGINEER IN A ROLE WHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY GROW, PERFORM AND STAY LONG-TERM.”

Sa industry, especially manufacturing, sometimes entry for IE or Engineer roles isn’t always instant even if IE graduate ka.

Sa ibang countries kasi, especially sa manufacturing-heavy economies like Japan, Germany, Singapore or US, mas structured yung career progression ng engineers. Hindi siya purely “degree = engineer” agad. Madalas, may stepping phases din like technician, associate or operator role lalo na kapag fresh graduate or wala pang experience.

Lalo na kung alam mong may other opportunities for you to upgrade your work dahil aware kang may capability ka naman agad for engineering roles, dapat hindi ka forever stuck sa operator level.

If ang intention mo is mag-build ng internal path then may plan ka mag-apply for internal postings, upskill, ask for cross-training or target promotion timelines sa boss mo. Pero kung after a reasonable time walang growth opportunity, then that’s when strategic job hopping makes sense.

Don’t waste your 5 years but also don’t rush quitting without a clear next landing. The goal is not just become an engineer fast, but become an engineer in a role where you can actually grow, perform and stay long-term.

“KAYA MAS OKAY SIYANG I-FRAME BASED ON YOUR PURPOSE KAYSA AUTOMATIC UPGRADE NG CAREER.”

CIE is a certification exam, so hindi siya katulad ng PRC license na required talaga sa most construction roles. Kaya mas okay siyang i-frame based on your purpose kaysa automatic upgrade ng career.

For me, worth it mag-take ng CIE Exam if eto yung purpose mo:
1. For confidence and validation.

2. For morale / personal growth. Minsan hindi siya about immediate career gain, kundi about momentum. May ibang tao na nagta-take ng CIE para ma-refresh yung IE concepts like productivity, operations and systems thinking at ma-feel na continuous yung growth nila kahit working na kapag may nadadagdag o naipapasa silang certification,

3. For requirement or HR preference. May ilang companies or roles na tinitignan siya as plus factor, lalo na sa IE-heavy positions like planning, process improvement or operations roles.

So ang pinaka-deciding factor na mai-aadvice ko sa’yo is take CIE kung gusto mo ng added credibility, confidence boost or possible pivot to IE or management/operations roles in the future.

Skip or deprioritize naman kung focused ka purely sa construction ex*****on path at mas kailangan mo ng practical site experience and construction-specific skills.
