On 21 October is the Feast of Saint Pedro Calungsod, the second Filipino saint. Saint Pedro, a teen-aged martyr, was a native of the Visayas region. He was also a catechist who went with some Spanish Jesuits to the Ladrones Islands, later renamed “Marianas”, in 1668. May we be living witnesses of our faith in our time. St. Pedro Calungsod, pray for us!
