IN PHOTOS | Batch 2031 Miting de Avance held at the SHB 4th floor auditorium
Batch 2031 had its first Miting de Avance at the PSHS Main Campus, where candidates presented their platforms for the inaugural Batch Council elections last September 3.
LEAD—consisting of Francheska Sofia Aquino, Anika Soco, Alexsa Anica Althea Ocampo, Frances Clare Evangelista, and Jasmine Claire Elvena—proposed initiatives on student well-being—including surveys and one-on-one talks for concerns—environmental projects like tree planting, sportsfests, tutoring services, dormer support, and weekly bonding activities such as board games and movie nights.
Lunar—consisting of Summer Agunias, Elijah Flaviano, Joaquin Ayanni Maximus Roan, Alyssandra Lauren De Leon, and Leofferd Dela Cruz—emphasized accessibility through a suggestion box. The party also proposed a reviewer drive, educational film screenings, field trips, and snack-based fundraisers. They also highlighted the use of polls and drives to ensure student input in decision-making.
Sulong—consisting of Ethan Francis Alferez, Sancho Rafael Santos, Felizce Eulleia Fermino, John Vincent Raneses, and Mikayla Laurice Austria—centered their platform on IDEA (Innovative Design for Scholars in Action), a batch-wide contest for project proposals. They also proposed fundraisers such as class mini-stores and movie screenings, alongside activities like study groups, class nights, and refresh parties.
Independent candidate Nathan Kyle Dagon, running for President, presented his STAR platform: School spirit through cultural events, Transparency via open forums and surveys, Activities like tutoring and leadership programs, and Representation of student concerns through collaboration with teachers and surveys.
The program concluded with a Q&A and open forum where candidates were asked about feasibility, transparency, accountability, and balancing academics with proposed projects.
