A self-taught DJ, Alex "The Beatmeister" Paz learned to mix & beat match without anyone mentoring or teaching him the tricks of the trade, but just his passion for music as his motivation. He wasn't able to play in clubs back then because of its conflict with his studies, but this never stopped him from practicing and honing his skills whenever schedule permits. It was early 2000 that he went back
to his first love of DJ'ing and since then never looked back. He started a music blog which featured his mixes and was also able to showcase them through online (The Vault on Live 365), live podcasts (DWTK Treskul Radio) (Berlys Brain Dance at Zeno.fm India) & on local FM radio (George Boone in The Morning @ 104.7 FM). He also has quite a number of gigs since then up to the present, adept in both digital & analogue formats. Nowadays, Alex mostly spins on "all-vinyl" gigs and some "all-45" nites, in which he uses those hard-to-mix 7"/45 singles to rock the house. With not much Live gigs due to the recent pandemic, Alex shifted to Live streaming online gigs and went full circle once again, combining new skills acquired from mixing with wax & the limitless creative possibilities with Serato, to spinning back digital tracks via DVS or digital vinyl system for those exclusive cuts & remixes.
