Congratulations Team AGAPITO!

Monoxide Works has had the opportunity to work with the wonderful people at @901 Studios PH in this beautiful short film as their sound design studio partner.

Dumaguina was at the helm of the mixing table for this. Dumaguina was at the foley and sound effects department supplementing and filling up the sound element gaps to complete the overall sound bed for the film.

Though great sound mixes are achievable alone, to say that sound design is a one-man job is an understatement. A team will always be behind the mixing forefront of the re-recording mixer and /or sound designer. This gives different and fresh creative perspectives an opportunity to build on the design of the sound.

What you are hearing on the big screen is a mix of the whole creative team's vision of how we want to experience the story as well as help tell the narrative through the director's eyes and ears. Kudos to direk Arvin! Thank you for trusting us with your film's sound design! Here's to more projects in the coming future!

(Sound/Audio/Music) cables + Power = Ground Loop (noise) - only if you haven't properly grounded your sound/audio/music equipment. This was one of the reasons why we were so hyped up to create this video - we seldom deal with mains powered equipment for recording sound on set. Having batteries were the easiest (and less hassle-free and stress-free) to operate our sound equipment.

This is part two of the DJ Flightcase mod where we deal with the audio connection side of the case. We lightly touched the idea of ground loops and where proper cabling and grounding of equipment is a must for optimal sound. It's a lot of work but once you've done well to isolate and properly set things up, it will reward you with something that will save you from a lifetime of headaches and hair-pulling moments.

Flightcases a.k.a. prodbox a.k.a. heavy coffins. We have had a love and hate relationship with these things. It's heavy as hell, but sturdy as a rock. Nonetheless, these boxes are what we use to transport our equipment (aside from pelicans where waterproofing is a priority - rain, beach, island, table for food and drinks on set - you get the picture). These boxes can be customized to house in equipment and make it simply efficient to setup up and down once you're in location. This video is all about the finalizing the powering solutions for the DJ turntable flightcase. Hope you enjoy the video as much as we did shooting it.

Quick snaps of a project we did lately. High wireless track count and challenging lav mic placement on talents. Fully utilized 12 tracks of iso recording. Plus a few more mixed down from a separate mixer. Simple yet technically demanding.

We are now at the halfway mark for "Race to 23." It was a test of new workflows and equipment sets for us. Shoots are never the same. There's always that little aspect of your workflow and technique where you just "level up" your work and output on set.
