Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) officially turned over NCAA’s hosting rights to Mapúa University (MU) for Season 101.

MU was given the honor to lead the NCAA’s first season of the second century after LPU hosted the league’s centennial festivities.

Outgoing management committee chairman, Mr. Hercules P. Callanta, and Policy Board President, Atty. Roberto P. Laurel of LPU (left) turned over the symbolic NCAA flag to MU President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Dodjie S. Maestrecampo and management committee representative Mr. Melchor P. Divina (right) during the ceremony.

The NCAA also officially crowned San Beda University (SBU) as the overall champions of the centennial season in the juniors and seniors division.

SBU policy board member Fr. Aloysius A. Maranan and mancom representative Atty. Jonas L. Cabochan was present to receive the award from Mr. Hercules P. Callanta and Atty. Roberto P. Laurel of LPU together with GMA Network Senior Vice President and Head of GMA Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy, Mr. Oliver Victor B. Amoroso.

Other members of the NCAA policy board and management committee were also in attendance.

Kent Auditor of Emilio Aguinaldo College has been named the aspirants basketball Most Valuable Player.

The court general from Maramag, Bukidnon towed the Brigadiers to their historic first-ever title in the 15-under tournament after crashing San Beda University in the finals, 102-73, on Saturday, July 5, 2025.


SPORTS UPDATE: Kent Auditor of Emilio Aguinaldo College has been named the NCAA 100 aspirants basketball Most Valuable Player.

The court general from Maramag, Bukidnon towed the Brigadiers to their historic first-ever title in the 15-under tournament after crashing San Beda University in the finals, 102-73, on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

Six NCAA soft tennis student-athletes to join Korea tilt

Noeus Elna Beronio (De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde), Ayen Nicole Hipolito (Emilio Aguinaldo College), Shaira Gil Silva (Mapúa University), Angela Valdez (San Beda University), Hilary Sophie Paas (San Sebastian College-Recoletos), and Aira Jane Nuguit (University of Perpetual Help System-DALTA) were selected to compete in the 2025 Nonghyup Bank Incheon Korea Cup International Soft Tennis Tournament scheduled from June 16 to 23 in Incheon, South Korea.

Meanwhile, soft tennis World Cup veteran, coach Josephine Paguyo, was tasked to lead the team in the tourney.

Also part of the NCAA delegation are the members of the Management Committee: Peter Cayco (Arellano University); Fr. Victor Calvo, Jr., OP (Colegio de San Juan de Letran); Dr. Lorenzo C. Lorenzo (Emilio Aguinaldo College); Efren Jose Supan (José Rizal University); Fr. Virgilio M. Paredes, Jr., OAR; and Francisco Gusi, Jr. (University of Perpetual Help System DALTA).
