It’s believed this evolved because cats are obligate carnivores. Their ancestors survived entirely on meat, so they never needed to develop a craving for sugar. Over time, that “sweet tooth gene” just switched off.

At the time, this made Blackie the richest cat in history, earning him a spot in the Guinness World Records. His story spread worldwide, making him a symbol of how deeply humans can love their pets, sometimes even more than their own family.

In the end, Blackie lived out his life comfortably, surrounded by people who cared for him, all thanks to the loyalty of his owner who wanted to make sure his cat was never without love, food, or a warm home.

Kung sa school ay pwede mong isama ang alaga mong pusa, mas magiging motivated ka bang pumasok araw-araw?

The most famous school cat in history was named… 𝙍𝒐𝙤𝒎 8!

Taong 1952, sa isang elementary school sa Los Angeles, may isang pusang biglang naging estudyante… at teacher’s pet… at mascot… ALL IN ONE? 😺

Siya si Room 8, ang pusa na araw-araw pumapasok sa Elysian Heights Elementary School.

8AM papasok siya kasama ng mga bata
Magna-nap sa classroom habang may lesson
Sasabay kumain sa lunch break
At uuwi rin kasabay ng mga estudyante after class.

Imagine mo yung saya ng mga bata! 🧒👧 Hindi lang sila natututo ng Math at Reading, natututo rin silang mag-alaga, maging responsable, at maging mas compassionate dahil kay Room 8.

Teachers even used him in lessons, ginawa siyang inspirasyon sa art projects, poems, at plays.

Kung baga, si Room 8 ang OG na emotional support animal sa school. 🐾

Naging sikat si Room 8 to the point na may mural, grave marker, at sariling foundation pa siya hanggang ngayon.

At bakit, kahit maliit lang sila, pakiramdam mo’y sila ang hari ng bahay?
