A contingent of 52 young arnisadors with their 13 coaches from Benguet Province is currently competing in the 2024 Batang Pinoy National Championships, held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. This prestigious national youth sports competition, which runs from November 23 to 28, 2024, has attracted over 1,700 participants for arnis from various regions across the Philippines.

The opening ceremony took place at Robinsons Place Palawan on November 24, 2024. During the event, a Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Director addressed the athletes, coaches, and parents, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship and perseverance.

“You are the future of Philippine sports,” the Director said. “Whether you win or lose, you’ve already achieved a great deal. To the coaches and parents, thank you for your support.”

Maryann Grace Mapangdol, the Head Coach of Benguet Arnis for BP, is closely monitoring the team’s performance and is confident that they will excel in the competition.
