Last July 15, the MU Senior High School Department held the 8th Commencement Exercises at The Grand Ballroom at Solaire in Parañaque City.

The ceremony took place in two batches, with James Dyson 2021 Award winner and Pili AdheSeal CEO Engr. Mark Kennedy Bantugon serving as the guest speaker in the morning and James Dyson 2023 National Prize winner and Make-roscope inventor Engr. Jeremy de Leon delivering the keynote address in the afternoon.

With the Philippine International Convention Center currently undergoing renovation, this year's commencement exercises marked the first Senior High School ceremony to be held at Solaire.

IN PHOTOS: The Mapúa University Collegiate Chapter of the SAE International hosted the 7th Auto Principi last July 12 at the Intramuros Campus Quadrangle, an event dedicated to showcasing streamlined and detailed automotives such as cars.

This year, the car show promoted its advocacy for greener modes of transmission with “Pedal Patungo sa Kinabukasan” by featuring electric vehicles and their community outreach initiative through donating bicycles, installing bike repair stations around Intramuros, and conducting safe seminars for pedicab drivers in the vicinity.

Moreover, a racing simulator from Stregawo was set up at the South parking lot.

FIRST PODIUM IN NCAA ESPORTS 🎮🏅

Proudly waving the red and gold banner, the Mapúa Gaming Society clinched a hard-fought second runner-up finish in the Esports Kickoff which wrapped up today, July 27, at the Philippine GameDev Expo held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

The Cardinals' roster, composed of Demetrius Yuriel Audjie, Rafael Benipayo, JM Ocampo, Clint Aljarreau Orsoman, Axl Santos, and Vincent Villanueva, punched their ticket to the playoffs after locking in the second seed in their group during the round robin stage and powering through the playoffs to secure a podium finish and close up their Season 100 campaign.

FINAL: In a nail-biting series, the Mapúa Gaming Society gave it all in their push but ultimately fell short of reaching the Esports Kickoff Playoffs grand finals, suffering a 1-3 defeat against the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights today, July 27, at the Philippine GameDev Expo held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Showing determination and composure, Captain Rafael Benipayo led Mapúa to a strong start in Game 1 with a standout performance using Zetian, earning MVP honors and putting early pressure on the Knights.

ONGOING: Fated for another high-octane spectacle, the Mapúa Gaming Society gears up for a rematch against the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights in a Best-of-Five lower bracket finale for the final slot at the Esports Kickoff grand finals today, July 27, at the Philippine GameDev Expo at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

With a guaranteed podium finish, the Cardinals aim to execute crisp rotations, clutch teamfights, and calculated drafts as they seek redemption and a shot at the championship matchup against the José Rizal University Heavy Bombers.

With the theme "Going MACRO in MICRO-PARA: Expanding Academic Frontiers in Microbiology and Parasitology," the Philippine Academic Society for Microbiology and Parasitology (PASMAP), Inc. and the Mapúa School of Medicine co-hosted the 34th PASMAP Annual Convention held last July 11 to 12 at the Mapúa Cardinal Cinema. The two-day seminar gathered faculty members and instructors from various universities.

The first day of the event featured a series of lectures about microbiology and parasitology delivered by distinguished healthcare professionals. It also included a panel discussion alongside an open forum after the talks.

On the second day, the event continued with a seminar on vaccine platforms, followed by the review of the MicroPara Curriculum. The convention concluded with the formal oath taking for new members.

FINAL: The Mapúa Gaming Society is still in the running for the inaugural crown after capsizing neighbor Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates in the Esports Kickoff Playoffs Lower Bracket Match 5 faceoff today, July 26, at the Philippine GameDev Expo in SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

Jungler JM Ocampo led the scuttle against LPU with his top tier play on Fredrinn. Come Game 2, midlaner Rafael Benipayo on Pharsa charged the Pirates with a monumental rally to regain control and the win. Ocampo's Lancelot on Game 3 sealed the deal for the red and gold squad, keeping their campaign alive for tomorrow's push for the finale.

The Intramuros troop is set to go up against one last opponent in a do-or-die game to advance to the championship tomorrow, July 27, at the same venue.

FINAL: Absorbing intense flanks and well-coordinated team fights, the Mapúa Gaming Society fell short to secure the upper bracket against the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights, 1-2, in the Esports Kickoff Playoffs held today, July 26, at the Philippine GameDev Expo in SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

Refusing to stumble without a fight, Midlaner Rafael Benipayo delivered a masterful performance on Zhuxin in Game 1, earning MVP honors and giving the Knight a bitter taste of stinging butterflies.

Determined to keep their dream for the inaugural crown alive, the Cards are looking to bounce back as they face the Lyceum of the Philippines Univetsity Pirates later today in a best-of-five series, still at the SMX Convention Center.

FINAL: The Mapúa Cardinals, represented by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players from the Mapúa Gaming Society, dominated the San Sebastian College-Recoletos Golden Stags in the Esports Kickoff Playoffs best-of-five series at the Philippine GameDev Expo, held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

Midlaner Rafael Benipayo took the MVP honors in the first two games as Pharsa, while roamer Vincent Villanueva stole the spotlight with his Gatotkaca in the deciding match.

The red and gold squad is set to engage in a heated Battle of Intramuros as they go up against the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights tomorrow, July 26, in a best-of-three series at the same venue.

Audiences who are interested to watch the game live may avail themselves of tickets for Day 2 and Day 3 of the Philippine GameDev Expo.
