Summer taught me that some things are meant to be hot, wild, and temporary. Like this tan, like this sunset, like the promises people made when the weather was good.
I’m out here in my 2-piece, not for your validation, but because I finally stopped shrinking myself to fit into seasons – and people – that were too cold for me anyway.
Funny how the same ocean that heals me is the one you were scared to swim in. You wanted the calm, but you couldn’t handle the waves. You wanted the sunset, but you left before the sky turned orange.
People come and go like tides. Some crash into you just to see if you’ll break. Some only show up when the water’s warm. But me? I learned to be the ocean # deep, unbothered, and still beautiful even when everyone leaves at low tide.
So no, this isn’t a “thirst trap.” This is a “I-thrived-while-you-watched” post. This is proof that I stopped waiting for someone to choose me, and chose the sun, the salt, and myself instead.
And if you’re stalking this pic wondering why I look peaceful? It’s because I finally realized: the only thing I should be chasing is sunsets... not people who act like seasons.🌊✨
