𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | July 17 - Aspiring Ramonian journalists gathered for the School-Based Campus Journalism Elimination Round. The Writers' Competition was held in the TGS/SIGAY Room, and the Broadcasting Competition took place in the Grade 8 Narra Room. The activities provided students with the opportunity to showcase their writing, broadcasting, creativity, and critical thinking skills as they competed for a place on the school's representative team for the Division.

This competition aimed to identify and develop promising student journalists. More than just a screening, the event serves as preparation for the upcoming school year by equipping qualified students with valuable journalism experience and helping them sharpen their skills for future competitions.

BFAR Conducts Fisheries Scholarship Campaign for Grade 12 Students

On July 17, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) conducted an information campaign on the Fisheries Scholarship Program for School Year 2027–2028 for Grade 12 students of Ramon National High School at the Doña Mercedes Amphitheatre.

Ma'am Velinda P. Calubaquib from the Provincial Fisheries Office discussed the scholarship's qualifications, benefits, and application process. She also introduced BFAR scholar Ma'am Marion Divine R. Gimman, who shared how the scholarship has helped her pursue her education and encouraged students to apply.

The campaign concluded with an open forum led by Sir Alvin B. Malana, who answered students' questions and reminded them that scholarship applications are open until the end of July.

Grade 12 Students Learn Bomb Threat Response in PNP EOD/K9 Seminar

On July 15, all Grade 12 students of Ramon National High School participated in the Project Awareness of Bombs that Kill Lives and Destroys Properties, conducted by the Philippine National Police–Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group (EOD/K9), Santiago City EOD and Canine Unit, under the Kabataan Kontra Krimen (K*K) Project, at the Doña Mercedes Amphitheater.

Police Captain Emmanuel P. Villar Jr. introduced the program, while Police Senior Master Sergeant Robert Najchuman discussed the proper response to bomb threats. He emphasized the importance of remaining calm, immediately reporting suspicious messages or objects to teachers, and following evacuation procedures to help ensure everyone's safety.

The seminar strengthened students' awareness and preparedness, equipping them with essential knowledge and practical safety measures in responding to bomb-related emergencies.

The event concluded successfully, highlighting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among all participating teams. After the final tally of scores, the Yellow Sparrows emerged as the Overall Champion, followed by the Green Falcons as 1st Runner-Up, the Red Cardinals as 2nd Runner-Up, and the Blue Eagles as 3rd Runner-Up.

The achievements of all teams reflected their dedication and collective effort throughout the event. Beyond the results, the program fostered unity, cooperation, and healthy competition, making it a meaningful and memorable experience for everyone involved.

The Green Falcons celebrated a remarkable achievement in the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2026 pageant as John Mercado Portillo and Sheena Juan were proclaimed Mr. and Ms. Intramurals, respectively. Portillo also garnered the Best in Production Number and Best in P.E. Attire awards, while Juan earned Ms. Clever, Best in Production Number, and Best in P.E. Attire.

Meanwhile, Wardre Galingan of the Red Cardinals was hailed 1st Runner-Up and received the Best in Sports Attire award in the male category, while Jossa Ramos of the Yellow Sparrows was proclaimed 1st Runner-Up and Best in Sports Attire in the female category. Zeusachiles Vinoya of the Yellow Sparrows and Strawberry Navarro of the Blue Eagles earned the 2nd Runner-Up titles, while Lorence Sanchez of the Blue Eagles was recognized as Mr. Clever and 3rd Runner-Up, alongside Angela Jhanine Mateo of the Red Cardinals, who was also proclaimed 3rd Runner-Up.

Yellow Sparrow's Seth Esteban emerged as the Men’s Chess Champion after a dominant performance throughout the intramurals. Blue Eagles followed with strong finishes as Prince Nazarene Basug claimed second place, while Carl Gabriel Base secured third. In the Women’s Division, Green Falcons' Jesica Jacinto claimed the championship after a thrilling tiebreak match against her teammate, Rexie Flores.

The two finished the seven rounds tied after drawing in Round 1 and ending with identical Sonneborn-Berger and Koya System scores, forcing a playoff. In the tiebreak, Jacinto outplayed Flores by maximizing the strength of her bishop and queen, controlling the light-square diagonals before delivering the decisive checkmate. Yellow Sparrow's Mary Joy Estocapio rounded out the podium in third place. The chess event showcased the participants’ strategic thinking, patience, and sportsmanship throughout the intramurals.

Red Cardinals triumphed the Men’s Singles A, after a great performance. Meanwhile, the Green Falcons Team overpowered the competition in the badminton event, winning key divisions with confidence and control. In Men’s Singles B, Green Falcons outlasted their opponent 31–27. Green Falcons Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles both claimed clear victories—Men’s Doubles won by default, while Women’s Doubles dominated 21–13. Green Falcon further outplayed their opponents in Mixed Doubles, edging the match 31–28.

Red Cardinals, meanwhile, held off the challenge in Women’s Singles and came away with the title after strong performances in both A (21–6) and B (21–11). Overall, both teams showed great fight, but Green and Red Cardinals each proved they were ready to deliver big wins for their side.
