Jampol G. Ubalde delivered another standout performance as he claimed the gold medal in the 110m hurdles finals at the Isabela Provincial Athletic Association (ISPAA) Meet 2025, officially punching his ticket as a Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic Association (CAVRAA) qualifier once again. This win fuels his hope of returning to the Palarong Pambansa once more, a milestone he hopes to repeat as he completes his last year in high school.

Earl Lance Palalay of Legislative District 3 secured the bronze medal in the 2000m walk race at the Isabela Provincial Athletic Association (IsPAA) Meet 2025.

Throughout the race, he maintained his rhythm, kept his technique tight, and pushed through the final stretch to clinch a podium finish. His performance highlighted his endurance, focus, and determination on the track.

Timon T. Coronel of Ramon National High School, a delegate from Legislative District 3, clinched the gold medal in the Chess Standard Individual event at the Isabela Provincial Athletic Association (IsPAA) Meet 2025—earning his place as a proud Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic Association (CAVRAA) qualifier.

From the early middlegame, Coronel built a solid position, launching a calculated attack while trading pieces with purpose. He kept control of key squares and never allowed his opponent to gain tempo. In the endgame, he remained composed, converting a passed pawn into a decisive advantage that smoothly transitioned into a checkmate finish.

LOOK| A team of young innovators of Ramon National High School composed of Shemiah Coronel, Jayxe Russel Cuntapay, and Evangelyn Sadsad clinched First Place in the Food Processing category during the 2026 DIVISION FESTIVAL OF TALENTS (DFOT) on December 2, 2025 held at Ramon, Isabela.

The trio impressed judges with their technical mastery and creativity in food preservation, giving them the ticket to represent the Division in the Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT) in Quirino province.

In celebration of the Library and National Reading Month on November 28, Hon. Rosana Amistoso, barangay committee on education, urged students to read a book even for a while.

This message was also intensified as Ma. Rodelene J. Terte, school principal, emphasized the role of students at Ramon National High School (RNHS) in reading literacy.

The celebration featured interactive trivia games and mystery reading that helped in promoting a culture of reading among Filipinos, improve literacy rates, and strengthen reading competency in line with DepEd Memorandum No 243, series of 2011.

Teachers, students and local officials attended the ceremony, showing support for the school’s efforts to cultivate a strong reading culture among its students.

Grade 12 Students Undergo Two-Day Mock Job Interviews for Work Immersion Preparation

Grade 12 students participated in a two-day mock job interview activity held November 20–21 as part of their pre-immersion requirements for the upcoming Work Immersion program.

The activity evaluated students’ communication skills, responses to situational questions, and basic workplace conduct.

Prior to the said activity, a parents’ orientation was conducted on November 19 to brief them on the Work Immersion guidelines and schedule.

The Work Immersion proper will begin on December 1 and will last for two weeks.

JUST IN| Mayor Giovanni Vizcarra, accompanied by municipal officials, visited Ramon National High School on November 17, 2025, for a final inspection of the planned improvement project for the Dona Mercedes M. Abaya Amphitheatre.

Although the renovation has not yet begun, the visit aimed to assess the current condition and finalize preparations before the project kicks off.

Alvin R. Bautista, the municipal engineer, confirmed that the amphitheatre’s structure remains sound and that the upcoming work will primarily focus on repainting and refurbishing the area.

Bautista stated the project is scheduled to start next week and is expected to be completed within two months, enhancing the amphitheatre as a key venue for school and community events.

Students, teachers and staff alike are advised to avoid going around the area once the renovation commenced.

Timon Coronel of Ramon National High School placed fifth in the Mathematics and Computational Science – Individual Category at the Division Science and Technology Fair held today at Doña Aurora National High School, Aurora, Isabela.

He was coached by Mr. Marvin S. Baldonado. The division-level competition gathered student-researchers and innovators from various schools across Isabela, promoting excellence in mathematics, science, and technology.
