𝙍𝙉𝙃𝙎 𝙎𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝘽𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙂𝙤𝙖𝙡: 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙖 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝘼𝙍𝘼𝙇 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢

More than 370 learners at Ramon National High School (RNHS) are now on track to become readers by year-end as the school commits fully to the nationwide ARAL Program during its launching on September 12.

Ma. Rodelene J. Terte, the school principal, challenged the RNHS community to work together in realizing the goal of making every learner a reader at the end of the school year.

Around 30 tutors- a team that includes teachers, head teachers, the librarian and even the principal- have united to mentor students in reading which is the sole focus of the said program on its first implementation.

The ARAL program session will be done every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Ramon National High School (RNHS) officially kicked off the National Teachers’ Month celebration on September 8, 2025, through a meaningful program held at the school grounds.

The event gathered students, teachers, and staff in a united effort to honor the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices of educators who continue to shape young minds and guide them toward a brighter future.

The program showcased student performances, messages of gratitude, and symbolic acts of appreciation, creating an atmosphere of respect and celebration.

With this kickoff, RNHS emphasized its commitment to valuing teachers not only as academic mentors but also as nation-builders who play a vital role in inspiring the next generation.

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱'𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿| 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗦𝗠 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

One of the highlights of the school head’s hour presided by the school principal, Ma. Rodelene J. Terte ,for the 1st Quarter Report was the breakdown of student performance across all subjects. While completion rates remain high, 98.43% for Grades 7 to 10 and 99.52% for Grade 12, core subjects like English, Science, and Math (ESM) showed the lowest average grades, signaling a need for targeted academic support.

To address this, the school principal announced and explained the full implementation of the ARAL Program, now rolled out nationwide. The program focuses on academic recovery for Kinder to Grade 10 learners, especially those under the Balik-Aral initiative.

In its first year, ARAL prioritizes reading, aiming to strengthen foundational skills and improve student outcomes in low-performing subjects.

Aside from this, matters on enrolment, school operations funding and distribution, municipal mandates on motorcycle riding, and other school concerns were also discussed.
