πŸ₯³The Organon wishes Ryan James, senior cartoonist, a happy birthday!

Ryan,

some people leave footprints.
You leave doodles on scratch paper,
inside notebooks,
at the corners of meetings,
on days that needed saving.

And somehow,
they become the thing people remember most.

The Organon would not sound the same
without your humor quietly breathing through it,
without your drawings turning ordinary moments
into something people stop and smile at.

I hope life is gentle with you today.
I hope you keep creating the kind of art
that feels like a friend tapping your shoulder,
saying,
β€œhey, things are still beautiful.”

Happy Birthday, Ryan James.
Thank you for drawing light into places that need it.

πŸ₯³The Organon wishes Michelle, editor-in-chief, a happy birthday!

Some work is never seen

the quiet kind
done when the room has emptied
when the last light is the one you forgot to turn off

you stayed there

between the hum of tired machines
and the soft chaos of unfinished sentences
you learned how to listen
not just to words
but to the spaces between them

Michelle

you did not arrive loud
you did not need to

you built something out of patience
out of pages that refused you at first
out of voices that trembled before they learned to speak

you held them gently
until they were brave

there were nights when leadership felt like weight
not the kind you carry on your shoulders
but the kind that settles somewhere deeper
where doubt quietly asks
if you are enough

and still
you kept going

you edited through the noise
through the second guesses
through the moments no one writes about

until The Organon
was no longer just a paper

it was breath
it was witness
it was proof that something real
had been made

and now

you are leaving
but not empty handed

you carry ink in your pulse
you carry stories in your bones
you carry the quiet knowing
that you have already done something that matters

graduating

not as an ending
but as a soft turning
like a page that does not rush itself

Michelle

the world will not always be gentle
but you already know how to stay
how to listen
how to shape something fragile
into something that endures

so go

take with you the unfinished sentences
the courage you found in the middle of doubt
the quiet strength that never asked to be seen

and wherever you land
may you keep writing

not just with words
but with the life you choose to live
