A press conference for Miss Asia Pacific International 2024, Janelis Leyba, was held at Noctos Music Bar in Quezon City.

In attendance were the newly appointed Philippines National Director, Mr. Arnold Vegafria of ALV Pageant Circle, along with MAPI General Manager, Kristine Caballero Aplal, and MAPI International Affairs Director, Onin Mas.

The upcoming Miss Asia Pacific International 2025 is set to culminate on October 8, 2025, in Cebu City.

LPU Laguna Student Wins Gold with Distinction at International Culinary Competition - A First in History
After seven years, LPU Laguna once again made culinary history.

Jose Antonio Silos Tuvera, a BS International Culinary Management student from Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Laguna, achieved a perfect score of 100 points and was awarded Gold with Distinction in an international cake display competition held in Malaysia - a first in the history of the Malaysian Chefs Association.

Tuvera was coached by Chef Jeriel Encarnado and co-coached by Chef Abram Peralta, with a dedicated team of alternates and understudies. This marks the Philippines' second Gold with Distinction after Chef Alyzza Bundalian's win in 2018, also from LPU Laguna.

Judged by world-renowned chefs including Chef Kenny Kong (Worldchefs Judge), Chef Erik Kim (World Chocolate Master), and Chef Vivian Pei, Tuvera's cake display stood out not just for technical excellence, but for artistic distinction and innovation - setting a new benchmark for world standards in cake artistry.

The win reaffirms LPU Laguna's commitment to uplifting the standards of the Philippine pastry and culinary arts on the global stage.
