16 SEPTEMBER 2026 – ODIONGAN, ROMBLON. The Philippine Statistics Authority continues its information dissemination campaigns on National ID Authentication Services (NIDAS) to relying parties. On September 15, 2026, PSA Romblon conducted NIDAS presentation to representatives from government and private establishments in the municipality of Odiongan.

Information Officer I Joshua F. Falcunit led the presentation, which covered the National ID authentication services and integration process, a live demonstration of eVerify, and the requirements for onboarding to NIDAS. PSA Romblon encourages all establishments requiring identity authentication to onboard with NIDAS into their respective databases to streamline verification processes and enhance service delivery.

PSA Romblon reaffirms its commitment to strengthening partnerships with government agencies and other stakeholders to expand the reach of its programs and ensure that National ID services remain accessible to every eligible Filipino.

26 August 2026 – ROMBLON, PHILIPPINES. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Romblon brought National ID registration and issuance services directly to beneficiaries of the Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) Assistance Program, as the agency prepares communities for the shift to digital cash assistance.

Throughout August 2026, PSA Romblon set up National ID service desks alongside DSWD payout activities in Sibuyan Island, Banton Island, and Concepcion. Beneficiaries were able to register for the National ID, claim their ID in paper format (ePhilID), request replacement for lost transaction slips, and get help with other National ID-related concerns.

The ePhilID proved especially valuable. Many beneficiaries needed a valid government-issued ID to verify the GCash accounts that will receive their future cash assistance. By bringing ID services directly to the payout site, PSA Romblon allowed beneficiaries to complete this requirement on the spot, sparing them the added time and cost of a separate trip.

The UPLIFT Assistance Program provides ₱2,000 in financial support to poor, near-poor, and low-income households. While the first round of payouts was distributed manually, subsequent rounds will be disbursed digitally through LandBank and GCash, with funds credited directly to beneficiaries' registered accounts. The shift underscores the growing role of the National ID as trusted proof of identity for account verification and access to government services.

Through activities like this, PSA Romblon continues to bring National ID services closer to communities across the province. The initiative also supports the national government's broader digital transformation agenda, promoting the National ID as a secure and convenient form of identification that helps more Filipinos access government programs and financial services.
