The 2018 Flood Control Scam

Alam niyo ba na noong December 2018, ibinunyag ni dating House Majority Leader Rolando Andaya ang diumano’y P332 billion flood control scam?

He claimed that the Department of Budget and Management artificially inflated allocations for non-existent or ghost flood mitigation projects during the first three years of the Duterte admin.

Sinabi niya ring may bilyon-bilyong pondo na itinago sa budget ng DPWH nang hindi alam ng mga district lawmakers, kabilang ang kaduda-dudang P213 billion noong 2017 at 2018, at karagdagang P119 billion para sa taong 2019.

The DBM Secretary at the time was Benjamin Diokno.

While Diokno denied the allegations, Andaya claimed the Ombudsman found red flags of corruption. Despite this, Ombudsman Samuel Martires did not open an official case against Diokno.

Maging si Duterte ay umamin sa isa niyang talumpati na may korapsyon sa DPWH at sinabing wala siyang magagawa rito.

No corruption charges were filed during his term.

Other lawmakers demanded Diokno’s resignation, but he refused to step down. Despite the controversies, Duterte promoted him and appointed Diokno as the Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in 2019.

Later, on June 30, 2022, Rolando Andaya was found dead in his residence in Naga City.

Advice ng mga i.t. or mula sa Information Technology ay mag lagay daw ng Firewalls HINDI lang isa, tatlo kundi lima firewalls para Hindi ma hack ang ating Facebook Account ☝️...
