Exactly one year ago today.πŸ’™

Looking back, I realize that it was not simply a celebration of completing an internship. For me, it was a defining moment of courage. It was the day I chose to stand for myself, to speak my truth, and to amplify a voice that had long waited to be heard. Little did I know that a few words spoken from the heart would become the beginning of new opportunities, meaningful connections, and unexpected blessings.

As I reflect on that day, I am filled with gratitude for the people who listened, understood my journey, and believed in me even when I was still learning to believe in myself. Their encouragement reminded me that our stories matter and that our voices can create an impact far greater than we imagine.

A year has passed, yet the memories remain vivid. I still remember the excitement, the uncertainties, the laughter, the struggles, and the countless moments shared with my fellow Pinagsidlak Class. We came from different backgrounds and carried different dreams, but we journeyed together, supported one another, and celebrated each other's victories.

Now, I look back not with nostalgia alone, but with a heart full of gratitude. The stage is gone, but the impact of that moment continues to guide me. And for that, I will always be grateful.

TYPES OF WARRANTS

As a future criminologist, understanding the different types of warrants in the Philippinesβ€”such as the Warrant of Arrest and Search Warrantβ€”is essential. These legal tools ensure that law enforcement actions are conducted lawfully while protecting the rights of individuals. Mastering this topic is important not only for the Criminology Licensure Examination but also for becoming an effective and responsible law enforcement professional.

MALA IN SE VS. MALA PROHIBITA

Understanding the difference between mala in se and mala prohibita is one of the foundations of criminal law. Mala in se refers to acts that are inherently wrong, such as murder, robbery, and r**e, while mala prohibita refers to acts that are considered wrong because they are prohibited by law. Mastering these basic concepts is not just about passing the Criminologist Licensure Examinationβ€”it is about building the strong legal foundation needed to become a competent and responsible criminologist.

MURDER VS. HOMICIDE

One of the keys to passing the Board Exam is mastering the fundamentals. Topics such as the difference between Murder and Homicide may seem basic, but they are often the very concepts that appear in the exam. A strong understanding of these foundations helps us analyze questions accurately and avoid costly mistakes.

Never underestimate the basics.

The truth is, it’s overwhelming to stand in the middle of countless choices, wondering which path will shape your future and which mistakes might change everything. Sometimes it feels unfair that we are expected to know who we want to become while we are still trying to understand ourselves piece by piece.

Perhaps this phase is not about having all the answers immediately, but about giving ourselves permission to explore without punishing ourselves for not knowing everything yet. Growth is not always loud or clear. Sometimes it happens in the moments of doubt, in changing directions, in questioning ourselves, and in slowly becoming more honest about what truly matters to us. Maybe becoming who we are is not a destination we suddenly arrive at, but a lifelong process of discovering, unlearning, and choosing ourselves over and over again.
