At a time when many politicians are often seen surrounded by bodyguards, staff, and large entourages, Congressman Atty. Nat Oducado of 1Tahanan Partylist was recently spotted walking alone at the Roxas City Esplanade.
No bodyguards. No convoy. No special treatment. Just a simple public servant casually walking alone like any ordinary person.
Many residents admired the congressmanโs humility and approachable personality. Despite holding a high position in government, Cong. Oducado chooses to live simply and avoids being โmaarteโ or demanding special attention. He believes that it is the people who deserve to be treated special more than himself.
His simple gesture became a reminder that true leadership is not measured by power, luxury, or the number of people surrounding you. A real leader is someone who remains grounded, listens to the people, and stays connected to the community no matter how high their position may be.
Through that quiet walk at the Roxas City Esplanade, many were inspired and reminded that there are still public officials who genuinely serve with humility, sincerity, and compassion for the people.
