With the Philippines contributing around 25% to 30% of the global maritime workforce, Congressman Atty. Nat Oducado emphasized that the completion is getting better and stronger, so as we. He encourage and challenge all students, whether future engineers, future captains, and future heroes of the Philippines to consider maritime not just an OBLIGATION, but to take every single act or duty with due DELIGENCE, but more importantly, with PASSION. A reminder that their chosen path is more than just a duty or obligation but it is a calling that demands deligence, dedication, and passion.
The Filipino bood is blue, said Oducado. As we were connected by the sea. It highlights the deep cultural and historical bond that Filipinos share with the sea. He further emphasized that every small act matters as it builds excellence in the maritime industry. From the simplest task on deck to the grandest leadershup role, each constribution shapes the legacy of our Nation's maritime.
Maritime is his passion, and his message further concludes hope in every sea as the sea was never a barrier, but a connection of one's history, culture, and hope. Hope that connects islands, people, and dreams.
For Filipinos, it is not something that separates us, but something that unites our stories, strengthens our identity, and carries our hopes across horizons. As we continue to move forward the challenges and changes of progress, may we always remember that through unity and passion, the maritime industry will remain the heart that keeps our nation connected to the world.
