Echague, Isabela โ August 11, 2025 โ The Isabela State University (ISU) has officially lifted its Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement every Friday, requiring all employees to physically report to their respective offices starting August 15, 2025.
The directive, issued through Memorandum No. 43, s. 2025 by ISU President Prof. Dr. Boyet L. Batang, comes after an operational review conducted by the University Management. The decision aims to strengthen service delivery and ensure the smooth implementation of academic, administrative, and research activities.
In line with the memorandum, faculty members on vacation or sick leave, those under contract of service, and project leaders must report onsite as required. Faculty on teachersโ leave status are expected to be on call and ready to report, when necessary, with an option to conduct lecture classes remotely only upon prior approval from their Program Chair. Faculty members holding Friday laboratory classes are also mandated to be onsite.
The memorandum further directs that all academic, administrative, co-curricular, research, and extension engagements, especially those involving faculty and students, shall continue every Friday. All staff, including those under contract of service, are likewise required to be physically present.
Employees with valid and approved reasons for remote work must coordinate with their campus head and the Human Resources Office for guidance.
President Batang expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation and dedication of the ISU community, emphasizing strict compliance with the directive in support of the universityโs mission and vision.
