𝙄𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙋𝘼𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙨.

Here is a moment where seven CPAs from different batches come together, each carrying their own story of hard work and determination that led them to success.

𝗟𝗘𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝟭𝟮-𝟬𝟴: 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙋𝙊𝙑

They used to be inseparable.

Everyone thought they’d be friends forever, the kind who’d still laugh about the same old jokes even when life had already changed them. But forever came sooner than they expected.

It didn’t end with a fight. There were no harsh words, no tears, no dramatic goodbye. Just silence. The kind that grows slowly, until it’s too loud to ignore. They both stopped trying, each pretending they were fine with it. Maybe they were. Maybe they weren’t.

Sometimes one of them would think of the other when a familiar song played or when something funny happened that only they would understand. The thought would linger for a few seconds, followed by a sigh and a quiet kind of ache. Then life would go on, as if the other never existed.

They both blamed time for the distance, but time wasn’t the real reason. It was fear. Fear of saying too much, of reaching out first, of admitting they missed something that could no longer be fixed. They grew used to the silence until it became normal.

And yet, on some nights, when everything else was still, they remembered. The laughter. The trust. The way it felt to have someone who really knew them. It was comforting and painful all at once — like holding a memory that refused to fade.

They never found their way back to each other. Maybe they didn’t want to. Maybe they understood that some things are meant to end quietly, without closure, without blame.

And if they were given the chance to be friends again, they wouldn’t. Not in this lifetime, not the next.

𝐀 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲: 𝐂𝐁𝐌𝐀 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐏𝐂’𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The College of Business, Management and Accountancy (CBMA), along with the rest of the CPC community, celebrated the CPC Christmas Fest 2025 with the theme, Shine with Love, Serve with Joy, December 5.

The festivity began with a Holy Mass that served as the spiritual anchor of the gathering, filling the San Lorenzo Ruiz Event Center with a sense of peace and gratitude.

Very Rev. Fr. Freddie B. Billanes then opened the program with a heartfelt message, sharing the story of a young boy who wished not to receive gifts but to give them instead, a lesson he powerfully highlighted through his striking reminder, “It is nice to receive gifts, but it is even nicer to give them.”

The words of Fr. Billanes lingered in the air, touching the audience and framing the celebration around generosity and sincere joy.

The atmosphere soon shifted into liveliness as Talents Ablaze: The CPC Christmas Variety Show brought students from different departments to the stage, each performance adding a festive spirit to the day.

Laughter and friendly excitement filled the venue during the CPC Holiday Play-Offs, where games drew everyone together in moments of carefree fun, while anticipation continued to build during the Grand Christmas Giveaway Raffle Draw, with hopeful smiles lighting up the crowd as names were called one by one.

Finally, Engr. Fernando P. Arce, SSPC Adviser, delivered the closing remarks, expressing deep gratitude for the unity and joy shared by the entire community throughout the celebration.

𝗟𝗘𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝟭𝟭-𝟬𝟳: 𝘼𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙢

Silence.

Something left that feels heavier than the rain.

The air smells of rain and dirt. Trees lean tiredly on the ground. Roofs sag. The streets are quiet, too quiet, as if even the wind is afraid to breathe.

People walk slowly, their faces unsure. Some carry brooms, some buckets, some nothing at all, but the weight of what was lost. The ground is soft and cold beneath their feet. Everywhere they look, there is something broken.

Yet in that silence, there is something tender too.

A mother picks up a wet photograph and presses it to her chest. A boy rescues a drenched toy and smiles faintly, as if reminding everyone that not everything is gone. Neighbors call out to each other, their voices shaky but warm.

There is pain, but there is kindness too.

And in between those two things, hope quietly grows.

It is not loud. It is not quick. It comes slowly, like sunlight slipping through gray clouds.

Yes, the storm has passed. But the fear, the loss, and the ache stays for a while. Healing takes time. Hearts take time.

Still, tomorrow will come.

And when it does, people will plant again. They will build again. They will laugh again.

Because even after the storm, life knows how to begin.
