𝗟𝗘𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝟎𝟓-𝟏𝟎: 𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑰𝒏 𝑩𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏

There was a point in my life when things were finally getting better. I was healing from all the ugly things that had happened in the past. I was learning to stand on my own again — focused on nurturing my professional self, busy improving in my work, determined to grow into a stronger version of who I used to be.

And then you came — unexpectedly.

At a time when love wasn’t even near my plans. Falling for someone was the last thing on my mind. But the first time I saw you, I knew I was in trouble. My heart raced like it had entered a competition I never signed up for. In that moment, I had this quiet certainty: you were someone I could easily fall for.

So I tried to contain it. I told myself to be careful. To stay grounded.

But seeing you every day made it harder.

I found myself wanting to know you more. Our conversations became the highlight of my day. I grew comfortable sharing stories, thoughts, even the small, ordinary details of my life. I always wanted to sit near you. To have your attention. To make you laugh at my jokes. To make you smile. To make you happy.

I convinced myself it was just a crush. A harmless, happy crush.

But time has a way of deepening what we try to minimize. The more I got to know you, the more quietly and steadily I fell. Until one day, I woke up and realized I had fallen deeply.

And that’s when it stopped being okay.

You see me as a friend. You treat me genuinely, kindly — and I value that. I don’t want to cross boundaries. I don’t want to complicate something pure. I don’t want to ruin the friendship we are slowly building.

So I tell myself I shouldn’t feel this way.

But how do you unfeel something that grows stronger every day?

I see you. I talk to you. I tried creating distance, but ignoring you feels like breaking my own heart. It’s exhausting — loving someone silently, caring without permission, moving on from someone who was never yours.

There’s no breakup to recover from. No closure to hold onto. Just feelings I have to manage on my own.

Sometimes I wish I could go back — back to that season of my life when things were finally stabilizing. When my focus was entirely on growth. When I didn’t have to secretly admire someone. When I wasn’t quietly carrying a pain no one else can see.

I was healing.

And now I’m learning how to heal from something that never even began.

This moment reflects the quiet perseverance behind every student, proving that success is often built after hours.

𝙄𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘽𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚: 𝗖𝗕𝗠𝗔 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁

The graduating students from the College of Business Management and Accountancy (CBMA) attended a retreat that provided a structured time for reflection and personal renewal as they prepare for graduation at CACI, San Antonio Resort Village, Baybay, Roxas City, May 5.

Rev. Fr. Redan E. Apines, Head of Christian Formation, led the talk and encouraged the graduating students to remain grounded in faith and gratitude as they prepare for a new chapter after college.

Students participated in prayer sessions and moments of reflection while spending time with classmates outside the usual academic setting.

The retreat concluded with the graduating students leaving the venue with a deeper appreciation for their journey in college.

The College of Business Management and Accountancy faculty of Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion visited the reviewees currently enrolled at VSA-IRS CPA Review as part of the ongoing support for Purisimian graduates preparing for the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE) at Iloilo City, April 24.

The delegation was led by CBMA Dean Prof. Pia Paula B. Samillano, MBA, together with Program Head for Accountancy Prof. Marilou M. Villar, CPA, MPA, and CBMA Review Coordinator Prof. Felmar B. Borja, CPA.

They were warmly received at the venue by Mr. Arthur U. Rosada, CPA, and Ms. Quen Jabell B. Rosada, CPA, MM, who welcomed the faculty and joined the engagement during the visit.

During the interaction, the CPC reviewees shared their insights on how VSA-IRS strengthened their study habits, reinforced discipline, and improved their confidence in handling board exam topics.

The CPALE is scheduled on May 24–26, 2026 and October 24–26, 2026.

𝟳𝟴/𝟳𝟴: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙧𝙪𝙚𝙙 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚. 𝘿𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨. 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚.

After the first and second preboard, this final round stands as the last stretch where everything they have prepared is put to the test in one defining moment.

They showed up with courage and stayed with discipline, choosing to push through the pressure and trust the process all the way.

For these graduating BSA students, this result reflects discipline, consistency, and the long hours of review that led them here, guided every step of the way by VSA-IRS.

This milestone confirms that preparation has been properly carried into purpose.
