𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏

Opening with the first day of matches on the court, yesterday December 16, 2025, the tournament featured one game in Division 1, one game in Division 2, and two games in Division 3, marking the official start of the competition. The games highlighted team participation and adherence to fair play as the event progressed according to schedule. Additional matches are set to follow in the succeeding days.

On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Interteam has started through the parade, and a burning passion through Volleyball and Basketball!

This momentous day marks as the service, the jumpball, and the ignition of the flame—started by a parade, and a will to play, compete, and show their talents and hardworks. The aspiring athletes showed up at 4:15 in the afternoon for the commemoration of the Interteam. This day is not only remembered by its name, it is remembered because of how many bonds have been made, how many leadership skills are shown, and how much eagerness it took for them to join the Interteam.

The short event begun with a prayer lead by Ramiel Almirol in order to seek the guidance of the Lord through sports, and the opening remarks by Sir Christoper Coranez.

May this be a start of active athletes, leadership, communication, and sportsmanship! Be guided by the message of the Lord and good luck to our dearest players!

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲: 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

On December 8, 2025, the St. Catherine of Siena Academy of Samal, Inc. community—students, staff, and parishioners—gathered at 8:00 AM to celebrate the Mass of the Immaculate Conception, honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary’s purity and unwavering faith. The Gospel reading from Luke 1:26–38 recalled the Annunciation, where Mary’s humble response, “Let it be done to me according to your word,” became the heart of the homily. Fr. Josue V. Enero reminded the faithful to revere Mary’s steadfast trust in God and to emulate her example in their own journeys of faith.

Following the Mass, the Supreme Student Council spearheaded the Teacher’s Day celebration, offering heartfelt tributes to the mentors who guide, inspire, and empower the students. Through messages of gratitude and tokens of appreciation, the event highlighted the invaluable role of teachers in shaping both minds and character. As SSC President Jann Rovic M. Turnuas expressed, “Sometimes a little appreciation is important for people in order to be happy for the day.”

Together, the solemnity and celebration reflected the school’s spirit of faith and thanksgiving—honoring Mary’s devotion and the teachers’ dedication as enduring pillars of growth and inspiration.

𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
On this day, December 8, 2025, we prepare to honor the luminous solemnity of the Immaculate Conception—a celebration that calls us to reflect on the grace bestowed upon the Blessed Virgin Mary. As our community readies itself for the upcoming Eucharistic gathering, we embrace this moment of devotion, remembering Mary’s pure and faithful “yes” that changed the course of salvation.

This feast invites us to recognize Mary as the Mother of Jesus and to contemplate the mystery of Christ—true God and true man—whose coming into the world reveals God’s boundless love. May this sacred day inspire peace, unity, and renewed faith within our hearts.

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

On December 05 2025, SCSA of Samal, Inc. formally celebrated Reading Month 2025 with activities that highlighted the significance of reading in shaping a hopeful and enlightened future.

At 10:30 AM, the Junior High School and Senior High School Departments presented their entries for Lola Basyang’s 3D Story Lane, which were carefully evaluated by the judges. The presentations demonstrated the students’ commendable creativity, effort, and dedication to bringing classic Filipino stories to life.

In the afternoon at 2:30 PM, JHS and SHS students gathered for the Class Reading Session, facilitated by Mr. Jan Michael Asia. Mrs. Daisy Magtanong warmly welcomed all participating classes and emphasized the importance of cultivating a strong reading culture within the school community.

Through these activities, SCSA reaffirms its commitment to fostering literacy and promoting reading as a vital bridge toward a future filled with knowledge, inspiration, and hope.

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟏

On December 1, 2025, during the flag-raising ceremony, the SCSA community welcomed the Advent season with the lighting of the first candle—a symbol of hope and anticipation.

The rite was meaningfully led by Mrs. Angelita S. Bugay, Campus Ministry Adviser, together with the uplifting voices of the SCSA Singers.

Representing the youth, Akira Magpoc and Candace Turnuas offered the prayer and lit the candle, reminding us that hope shines brightly when carried by the young and rooted in faith.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬, 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲.

On 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, the National Reading Month will make its way for the students to celebrate!

With the theme, “𝐓𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐬𝐚" (𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞), this is annually celebrated to implicate the love for reading and cultural literacy. Both the Pre-School Department and the High School department will participate in this artistic event, having specific activities and tasks. For the Elementary department, the Book Hunt will be done. For the High school department, Lola Basyang's 3D Story Lane during the morning and Class Reading in the afternoon.

Through this event, the students will have the opportunity to learn, discover, and read for the love of world literature.

𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤-𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥, 𝐈𝐧𝐜.

In accordance with the school's mission to promote the well-being of the students, Saint Catherine of Siena Academy of Samal, Inc. held its annual dental check-up today for grade school students.

The session was facilitated by Dr. Celine Paula Manulas, with the assistance of Nurse Carlo Adraneda; ensuring proper evaluation, care, and helpful guidance towards students on proper oral hygiene.

This activity served not only as a check-up, but also as an opportunity for students to learn the importance of dental care and awareness in terms of proper and consistent healthy oral habits of grade school students.
