Sermon: “Wait for the Vision”
Text: Habakkuk 2:3
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come.
Have you ever prayed for something and felt like nothing is happening?
Have you ever carried a promise from God but the fulfillment seems delayed?
Habakkuk knew exactly how that feels. Judah was in trouble, evil seemed to prosper, and God’s people were asking, “Lord, when?”
But in the middle of confusion, God gave Habakkuk a word:
“The vision is for an appointed time
1. GOD’S PROMISE HAS ITS OWN TIMING
We live in a world of instant results—instant coffee, instant messages, instant answers.
But God’s kingdom doesn’t operate on our timetable.
God says:
The vision is real
The promise is sure
But the timing belongs to Him
Even when we don’t see movement, God is already arranging everything behind the scenes.
Delay does not mean denial.
2. GOD’S TIMING IS ALWAYS PERFECT
Habakkuk was looking at the present situation.
God was looking at the appointed time.
Sometimes we think God is late—
but He is never late; we are simply early.
When the time is right:
Doors will open
Healing will come
Restoration will happen
Provision will flow
Breakthrough will manifest
What God has promised cannot be stopped by people, situations, or even time.
3. THE TEST OF FAITH IS IN THE WAITING
God said, “Though it tarry, WAIT for it.”
Waiting is not weakness. Waiting is worship.
Waiting is trusting that God’s plan is better than ours.
While we wait:
Keep praying
Keep obeying
Keep serving
Keep believing
Keep worshiping
Your waiting season is the breeding ground of your testimony.
No waiting is ever wasted when God is involved.
4. THE VISION SHALL COME — AND IT WILL NOT LIE
God’s promises are not wishful thinking; they are divine guarantees.
You may not see it yet, but God says, **“It shall surely
