The 𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 of Samal Island City College (SICC) successfully administered its 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at the SICC Gymnasium. The examination served as an avenue to gauge the students’ current level of knowledge and readiness as they progress toward the completion of their academic journey.

The assessment was facilitated under the supervision of 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐝 𝐆𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦; 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐧 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚, 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦;l and 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧, 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦, who served as the exam proctors and ensured the orderly and proper conduct of the assessment.

More than a measure of academic performance, the diagnostic examination provided the students with an opportunity to identify their strengths, recognize areas that require further improvement, and strengthen their preparation for the challenges ahead. On August 20, 2026, the BS Criminology Department conducted a Parents’ Orientation for the 4th Year BSCRIM students at the SICC Conference Room.

The program opened with a message from Acting College Administrator 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐂. 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐠𝐚, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, 𝐂𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐏, followed by a message from the Vice President for Academic Affairs 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐲 𝐌. 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨, 𝐋-𝐀𝐆𝐑𝐈, 𝐋𝐏𝐓. The orientation was led by BSCRIM Program Head 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐄. 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨, focusing on the BSCRIM Comprehensive Free Review Program, including its objectives, policies, schedule, and other important matters.

The activity concluded with the closing remarks of College Dean 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐯𝐲 𝐅. 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠, 𝐃𝐁𝐌, 𝐋𝐏𝐓.

On August 18, 2026, the BS Criminology Department successfully conducted a meeting with BSCRIM students at the SICC Conference Room, led by BSCRIM Program Head 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐄. 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨.

The meeting focused on the students’ preparation, responsibilities, and important matters concerning the upcoming BSCRIM Comprehensive Free Review Program, ensuring that students are ready for this valuable opportunity.

The activity was further strengthened by the presence and inspiring messages of Acting College Administrator 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐂. 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐠𝐚, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, 𝐂𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐏, Vice President for Academic Affairs 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐲 𝐌. More than a routine departmental activity, the formation provided the students with an avenue to strengthen their sense of responsibility, develop proper bearing, and practice the values of order and cooperation. Each movement, instruction, and formation served as a reminder that discipline is built through consistency, while leadership is developed through responsibility and action.

The activity was supervised by the 𝐁𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐌 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲, whose guidance and supervision ensured the students’ proper conduct, coordination, and adherence to the standards of the department. Leading the formation were the 𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬, who took charge of troop accounting, formation, and inspection. Leadership grows through collaboration, communication, and shared commitment. The SICC Supreme Student Council (SSC) successfully conducted the 1st Meeting of the SICC Council of Clubs and Organizations (SCCO), bringing together student leaders from different accredited clubs and organizations to strengthen coordination, discuss organizational priorities, and promote active student participation.

The meeting served as a venue to discuss key matters concerning student organizations, including the Special Election, the implementation of regular monthly SCCO meetings, organizational updates, membership concerns, and the election of the SICC Council of Clubs and Organizations (SCCO) officers. These initiatives aim to ensure that every organization is represented, heard, and empowered to contribute meaningfully to campus development.

The Supreme Student Council also emphasized the importance of accountability, cooperation, and effective leadership in creating a stronger and more united student community. Through continuous collaboration between the SSC and all recognized clubs and organizations, SICC remains committed to fostering student empowerment, innovation, and excellence.

The activity provided students with an overview of the department's academic policies, student services, and institutional standards, equipping them with the knowledge and guidance needed as they begin the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027.

The morning program began with a prayer and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by an inspirational message from 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐲 𝐌. 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨, 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 (𝐕𝐏𝐀𝐀),who encouraged students to pursue academic excellence, uphold integrity, and remain committed to their goals. This was followed by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐞 𝐌. The program continued with an address from 𝐌𝐚'𝐚𝐦 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨,𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝, who emphasized the value of education as the foundation of every future criminology professional. She also discussed the department's grading policies and academic standards before introducing the faculty members of the BS Criminology Department. The morning session concluded with the closing remarks delivered by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠, 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, who inspired students to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the new academic year with determination and perseverance.

The afternoon session centered on the department's orientation proper, where faculty members formally introduced themselves and discussed the core policies and standards of the BS Criminology Department. Students were oriented on the prescribed uniforms, proper hygiene and bearing, the merit and demerit system.
