𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐉𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐎 𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐌 :

With a heavy heart, we, the Journo Dictum would like to send out to our audiences the reason for not being able to actively post these past few days.

It was on September 17, 2023, when we were notified about the restriction of our page from posting. We tried to appeal our restriction to Facebook but we did not get any response from them. It’s been almost 3 weeks since we were restricted from posting. As of now, the only thing that we are allowed to do on our page is to share posts from other pages and post status. But still, we are prohibited from posting any pictures of any size and content since it is the main factor of our restriction.

In consideration of the foregoing situation, the current team behind the Journo Dictum has decided to temporarily inactivate this account. Instead, we created a new page wherein we can freely post updates and publication materials of the recent happenings of our clubs and also around the UE-Manila SHS community. We will still adhere to our duties and responsibilities as the official publication of the UE-Manila SHS.

It is a tough and despairing decision for us to make, but this is the only best option that our team can go for now. We are also asking for each of your support on this new journey of the Journo Dictum. We won't be stopped here! The journey for the dictum of truth, justice, and liberty continues and will never cease.

An Indelible collaboration between the
𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐦 took place this 77th Foundation Anniversary of the University of the East. 👑

The whole concept of this collaborative booth is to showcase the challenging path of arts and letters represented by Playing Cards with the alignment of the series 𝓐𝓵𝓲𝓬𝓮 𝓲𝓷 𝓑𝓸𝓻𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓭 as the theme of the booth. 🃏🎴

𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕵𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖓𝖔 𝕯𝖎𝖈𝖙𝖚𝖒 would like to inform you that the examination has been completed, and it is now time for us to officially close registration.

We appreciate the overwhelming interest and passion demonstrated by all who applied, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you.

HAPPENING NOW | The Journo Dictum held its “Membership Examination” today, September 8, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. via Google Meet. This examination is predominantly for the aspiring staff members of The Journo Dictum to test their adequacy in being part of the club.

The applicants were divided into two which are the Writer applicants and Non-Writer applicants. The Writer applicants were given a distinct exam that will surely test their capabilities in writing especially on their designated categories and medium. Whereas, the Non-Writer applicants such as Cartooning, Photojournalism, and Broadcasting are given individual instructions and exams that are specifically significant for their category.

These aspiring Journos signify that there is a promising future ahead for the fate of Journalism at UE SHS Manila. They all aspire to be officially part of Journos with a dictum of truth, justice, and liberty.

MGA LARAWAN | Ang araw ng Koronasyon ng Lakan at Lakambini 2023 ng UE SHS

Sa pagtatapos ng Buwan ng Wika, naganap at nakoronahan na ang “UE SHS Lakan and Lakambini 2023” Tagumpay na naiuwi ng Lakan ng Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) na si Jhon Paul Sucatron at Lakambini ng Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) na si Ashanty Noeryn Maceda ang korona nuong Agosto 23, 2023.

Nag uwi din ng iba’t ibang parangal ang ibang kalahok. Tulad ng parangal na “Mr. and Ms. Uprightness of Character” na iginawad sa Lakan ng STEM at Lakambini ng ABM. Iginawad naman ang “Mr. and Ms. Excellence” sa Lakan ng ABM at Lakambini ng STEM. Ang nag-uwi naman ng parangal na “Mr. and Ms. Environment Friendly” ay ang Lakan ng STEM at Lakambini ng ABM. Ginantimpalaan naman ng “Mr and Ms Moral and Social Responsible” ang Lakan ng HUMSS at Lakambini ng STEM. Gayundin, ay binigyang gawad ng titulong “Mr. and Ms. Loyalty and Integrity” ang Lakan at Lakambini ng TVL. Ang parangal naman na “Mr. and Ms. Service Orientedness” ay iginawad sa Lakan at Lakambini ng STEM.

Ang kinoronahang Lakan at Lakambini ay ang siyang pambato ng UE Manila Basic Education sa nalalapit na “Mr. and Ms. UE” ng paaralang taon na ito.

LATHALAIN | Mga Natatanging Hiyas para sa Korona ng Silangan

“...kagandahang siyang nakikita o siyang nagpapakita?”

Ano nga ba ang kahulugan ng salitang “kagandahan” na kung saan sa munting parirala, malaking epekto mula sa pagkatao at mga ikinubling kawalan ng kapanatagan ng isang tauhan ay nabubunyag?

Narinig mo ba ang mga hiyaw ng madla, ang mga pangalan ng kandidatura, at ang mga palakpak na tila’y may nanalo na. Hindi lamang ito ang mga karanasan noong Agosto 23, 2023, pahapyaw na senaryo ang mga sigaw at hiyaw na maririning mula sa madlang tangi lamang magbigay ng suporta para sa kani-kanilang nais magwagi sa hapon hindi malilimutan.

Subalit, sa bawat galak at saya na ipinakita ng mga kalahok, paano nga ba sila napunta sa entablado ng silangan? Sa buong maghapon na nakatayo at rumarampa, kinakaya pa ba nila? Ang mga ngiti at sagot para sa gantimpalang korona, nakakubli sa likod ng entablado ang prosesong hindi ninyo nakita.

Matagumpay. Ang mga naganap sa entablado at koronang kinakamtan ng bawat kandidatura ay isang matagumpay na paghahayag. Hindi lamang tagumpay bilang isang may titulong “Lakan at Lakambini” ngunit bilang isang ehemplo at patunay na isang mag-aaral na may pakikipagkaisa sa bawat mag-aaral ng silangan. Maging isang boses ng nananawagan at tulong para sa kinabukasan, hindi lamang ng kani-kanilang Senior High Strand ngunit bilang isang buong departmentong Basic Education.

Bawat kalahok ay nagbigay ng kani-kanilang lakas ng loob at pagsisikap para sa Lakan at Lakambini ng Silangan. Ang mga lakan at lakambini ng bawat strand mula STEM, ABM, HUMSS, at TVL na siyang nagpakita ng ninanais na panibagong pagbabago sa sistema ng bawat mag-aaral mula sa adbokasiya ng mental health, self-growth, body positivity, pagpapalaganap ng politikal na kamalayan, at pagpapalaganap sa kamalayan sa pinansyal.

Sa lahat ng kalahok, nagwagi ang Lakan ng Silangan mula sa strand na ABM na si Ginoong Jhon Paul Celerno Sucatron at ang Lakambini ng Silangan mula sa strand na STEM na si Binibining Ashanty Noeryn Maceda. Muli silang inaasahan makita sa susunod na Mr. and Ms. UE 2023 bilang Mr. and Ms. Basic Education 2023.

Gayundin, ang ibang kandidato ay nakatanggap din ng karangalan at gantimpala: Mr. and MS Uprightness of Character, ang Lakan ng STEM at Lakambini ng ABM. Mr. and Ms. Excellence, ang Lakan ng ABM at Lakambini ng STEM. Mr. and Ms. Environmental Friendly, ang Lakan ng STEM at Lakambini ng ABM. Mr. and Ms. Moral and Social Responsibility, ang Lakan ng HUMSS at Lakambini ng STEM. Mr. and Ms. Loyalty and Integrity, Lakan at Lakambini ng TVL.
