Please, let’s stop the blame.
Two women lost their lives, and the guy survived.
He could be carrying a level of guilt that’s hard to even imagine. He might feel like he should’ve gone with them. Or maybe he’s struggling with thoughts no one should ever have. Trauma like that doesn’t go away easily and honestly, it might stay with him forever.
What if it was the other way around, if the two girls had survived and he hadn’t? Would they be getting the same hate he’s getting now? I hope not.
So maybe instead of blaming, we just… pause. Say a prayer, for the two girls, for their families, and for the driver too. For peace. For healing. For strength to carry a weight none of us can understand.
They’ve rested in peace, but he will suffer forever..
