Please be advised that Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag has ordered the implementation of online or alternative modes of learning in all public and private schools in the City of San Fernando (all levels) for morning classes on Monday, September 8, 2025, in lieu of face-to-face classes.

To recall, the Provincial Government of Pampanga released an order on the 69th Canonical Coronation Anniversary of Virgen de los Remedios, which will be held at the Metropolitan Cathedral and Capitol Grounds in the city on the said date.

According to the organizers, an influx of more than 50,000 people is expected, which may cause traffic congestion in critical areas of the city, including those near school premises.

Meanwhile, City Government operations will remain open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM; and classes will be suspended starting at 12:00 PM, in accordance with the directive from the Provincial Gov’t.

Caluag also advises Fernandinos, especially devotees of the VDLR, to monitor the weather and comply with the health and safety guidelines set by the organizers.
