Subalit, hindi rin ito isang bagay na mabibili lang ng salapi. Hindi kailanman masusukat ang halaga nito sa baryang kayang ilabas ng bulsa, kundi sa mga buhay na ipinambayad at inialay nang kusa.

Bago natin makamtan ang kalayaang tila karaniwan na lang sa ngayon, may mga Pilipinong humarap sa dahas ng digmaan noon. Hindi na nila nasilayan ang umagang malaya. Hindi na rin nila nalaman kung kailan pa matatapos ang pakikibaka. Subalit, sa kabila nitong lahat, pinili pa rin nilang lumabanโ€”hindi para sa mundong kanilang matitirhan, kundi para sa kinabukasang tayo ang makikinabang.

๐๐ ๐š๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐  ๐€๐ซ๐š๐ฐ ๐ง๐  ๐ฆ๐ ๐š ๐๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ง๐ข, ating alalahanin ang mga taong nagbayad ng napakalaking halaga upang tayo ay mamuhay nang malaya. Kung wala sila, maaaring ang kasaysayang alam natin ngayon ay kasaysayang isinulat ng iba, para sa kani-kanila, at hindi kailanman para sa atin.

Mamuhay tayo nang karapat-dapat sa kalayaang kanilang ipinaglabanโ€”isang buhay na hindi sasayangin ang sakripisyong kanilang iniwan at isang buhay na, balang araw, maipagmamalaki rin sa kasaysayan.

As journalists, we envision the world of journalism as a haven for our perseverance, with the bravery to write, capture photos, and broadcast in service for the Filipino people.

๐Ÿ’ญWhen we were young, we would always hear our teachers tell us stories about our history, but we always had this one question: โ€œWhy do we need to learn history anyway?โ€ ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿ“ŒToday, we understand that history is more than just remembering names, dates, and events. It is about remembering the people who stood up when it was difficult, learning from the past, and making sure that we never repeat the same mistakes.

Senator Benigno โ€œNinoyโ€ Aquino Jr. was one of those people. During Martial Law, he was imprisoned for opposing the Marcos regime and was later sentenced to death by a military tribunal.

Let us take this day to remember all those Filipinos who fought and sacrificed for the freedom we enjoy today. May we honor them not only by remembering their names, but by doing our part for our country and for our fellow Filipinos.๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ’™

Sometimes, genuine love for our country starts with something as simple as kindness. It can begin in our own homes by treating one another with respect, understanding, and equality.

Sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas, mayroong apat na araw na hinding-hindi makakalimutan at hindi mabubura sa alaala ng bawat Pilipino. Mga nagtipon-tipon dahil sa iisang hangarin at iisa ang ipinaglalaban. Ang digmaang ito ay hindi ginamitan ng baril at mga armas kundi ng dasal, tapang, at pagkakaisa.

Sa kahabaan ng EDSA na kung saan naganap ang makasaysayang People Power Revolution ay punong-puno ng mahigit dalawang milyong mamamayan na nagsama-sama upang ipaglaban ang demokrasya at tutulan ang pamumuno ng kasalukuyang presidente sa terminong iyon na si Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

Nagsimula ang pag-aalab ng damdamin ng bayan dahil sa mga isyung tulad ng Martial Law at ang kontrobersyal na halalan noong 1986 laban kay Corazon Aquino. At ang pagpaslang kay Benigno Aquino Jr. ang lalong nagpasiklab ng galit at pagkamulat ng marami. Dito nagkaisa ang taumbayan laban sa diktadura. Ngunit, sa halip na gamitan ng karahasan ay mas pinili ng mga Pilipino ang ipaglaban ito sa mapayapang pagkilos.

Ang EDSA People Power Revolution ang patunay na upang makamtan ang ipinaglalaban at mabago ang kasaysayan, hindi ito nasusukat sa lakas at dami ng armas kundi sa pagkakaisa. Dahil dito, naibalik ang demokrasya at nabuksan ang pintuan para sa kalayaan. At ngayon, makalipas ang ilang taon, ang diwa ng rebolusyong ito ay mananatili pa ring mahalaga. Hindi lamang ito pangyayari sa nakaraan, ngunit isang paalala na ang kapangyarihan ng bayan ay hindi kailanman mawawala hangga't may mga taong handang ipaglaban ang nararapat.
