Are the teachers who inspired us to grow.

Every classroom holds countless stories of discoveries, mistakes, and lessons. At the heart of these moments are teachers who patiently guide their students, encourage them to keep trying, and make them believe that they are capable of more.

Teaching goes beyond lessons and grades. This is embedded in the small reminders, words of wisdom and encouragement, corrections that help us to do better, and the instances when a teacher chooses to believe in a student when they doubt themselves.

Today, we honor every teacher who continues to show up, teach with purpose, and inspire with heart. We thank you for sharing your knowledge, patients, and a part of yourselves with every student you meet, Happy World’s Teachers’ Day!

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The University of the Assumption Central Student Council (CSC), together with the Recognized Student Organizations (RSO), officially pledged to office during the university-wide induction held on October 2, 2026 at the Archbishop Emilio Cinense Gymnasium.

The Nursing Student Council (NSC), along with its associating organizations—the Citizen’s Drug Watch (CDW) and UA College Red Cross Youth Council (UACRCYC) pledged their dedication to leadership and the welfare of the student body.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | A new chapter begins as the newly inducted UACSC and RSO officers step forward to embrace the call to leadership and service. With the oath comes a promise not only to lead, but to listen, serve, and become a meaningful part of the UA Community.

The celebration began with a Eucharistic Mass presided over by Fr. Oliver G. Yalung, DL, PhD, followed by the Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony, formally welcoming the officers into their new roles.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪: The University of the Assumption College Red Cross Youth Council (UACRCYC), in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross Pampanga–Angeles Chapter, holds the 33rd University-Wide Bloodletting Caravan at UA Amphitheater 2.

The initiative brings students, faculty, and donors to share their time and donate blood for those in need.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Beneath the halls of the UA Chapel, Level III Junior Student Pharmacists marked a defining moment in their academic journey as the University of the Assumption College of Nursing and Pharmacy held its 7th Pharmacy White Coat and Pinning Ceremony on September 23, 2026.

Anchored on the theme, “Advancing Pharmacy, Building Healthier Communities,” the ceremony welcomed another batch of future pharmacists into a chapter shaped by learning, responsibility, and service.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | UA Student Nurses Publish Study on Down Syndrome Inclusion

Six Level IV student nurses from the University of the Assumption College of Nursing, published a study on how residents of San Fernando, Pampanga, perceive the inclusion and capabilities of people with Down syndrome in the Ignatian International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research (Vol. 4, No. 9, September 2026).

The paper, "Perception of People on the Social Inclusion and Capabilities of Individuals with Down Syndrome," was authored by Iris C. Roldan, David Nathaniel D. Valdez, Ma. Patricia P. Cano, Czareina S. Lacsina, Precious Lara D. Nucup, and Yael Leanne F. Quiambao, under adviser Dr. Humprey G. Icban, PhD, RN, LPT and research professor Dr. Emmanuel M. Bagtas, PhD, RN.

The study was conducted under Dean Anele C. Mallari, MAN, RN, LPT of the College of Nursing and Pharmacy and cleared by the University's Research Ethics Board.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The UA College of Nursing celebrated the momentous occasion of the 49th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony on September 15, 2026, at the Archbishop Emilio Cinense Gymnasium.

Dean Edna Calma, PhD, RPsy, RPm, RGC, Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, had the honor of commencing the ceremony with her welcome remarks. The welcoming remarks was then followed by the inspirational message from Dr. Karen Tiffany Pilar Del Rosario-Henson, RN, a UA BSN alumna from Batch 2007. In her powerful speech, she emphasized, “Nursing is not only about reaching the finish line or graduating; it is about who you become along the way.” Dr. Del Rosario-Henson also highlighted the importance of embodying the values of being Biasa, Maganaca, and Mayap as future nurses.

The ceremony continued with the entrance of Florence Nightingale, with the honor of Level II Clinical Instructor, Mrs. Marie Aileen Domingo, MN, RN, who portrayed the Mother of Modern Nursing.

The program then proceeded to the heart of the ceremony, the Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremonies—led by Dean Anelle Mallari, MAN, RN, LPT, together with the level chairs: Mrs. Michelle Gozum, MAN, RN, Chair of Level I; Mrs. Cherry Lazatin, MAN, RN, RPh, LPT, Chair of Level II; Mrs. Aurora R. Valencia, MAN, RN, LPT, Chair of Level III and Mr. Ulysses Rengel, MAN, RN, Chair of Level IV.

As the program come close, the Batch 2029 sang the Florence Nightingale Hymn, the UA Nurses’ Hymn, and their batch song entitled “Our Calling.”

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: As part of the 49th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony, the UA College of Nursing gathered for a Thanksgiving Mass on September 15, 2026, at the Archbishop Emilio Cinense Gymnasium. The Mass was presided over by Fr. Oliver Yalung, DL, PhD, alongside Fr. Edgar Calma, MASL, and Fr. Christian Kierr Tallorin.

The Mass also included the blessing of the caps and pins that would be bestowed upon the student nurses of Batch 2029 during the ceremony proper, marking a solemn moment before the 49th Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗨𝗔-𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝟵𝟮.𝟵𝟯% 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺

Examinees from the University of the Assumption College of Nursing achieved a 92.93% passing rate in the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (PNLE) held last September 11-12 2026, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) confirmed.

The result has produced 92 newly registered nurses from the UA College of Nursing latest batch of examinees.

Congratulations to the newest Registered Nurses, and may the values the university instilled stay with them as they enter the profession.
