π‘ππͺπ¦ | BASC secures 3 entries for NCAF 2026
Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) forged a strong breakthrough after bringing off two gold medals at the recently concluded Culture and Arts Association of State Universities and Colleges of Region III (CAASUC III) Regional Culture and the Arts Festival 2025, held at Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU), November 22-26.
Marking its first attempt to make their footsteps known at the Philippines Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) National Culture and Arts Festival (NCAF) 2026, BASC is set to send 3 entries under the Radio Drama Competition, Photo Contest, and Pandalawahang Pag-arte (Duo Acting) categories to be held at Cebu this April 2026.
Using their voices to amplify stories that transcended the hearts of their audiences, the whole Radio Drama team comprises of Jeremy Denzell Pedroso, Marian Rebanal, Vincent Sta Maria, Chronica VillaseΓ±or, and John Erick Oraiz headed by their coach Ms. Norelline Gabas, concluded the competition with pride and gratitude.
βI still cant believe that weβre participating on the NCAFβ¦ I am really proud that we will not be only representing our beloved college/university, but also we will be representing the entirety of Region III,β shared by Pedroso, member of the Radio Drama team.
On the same note, through the vibrant lens of Aisaiah Cesar Serrano, a profound inspiration had flickered himβusing his faith and support from his teammates and his coach, Ms. Annie Rose Pagdanganan, as a source of inspiration to keep going.
βHindi lamang kami lumaban para sa sariling dangal o karangalan ng ating kolehiyo/unibersidad, kundi para sa puso ng sining at ng ating kultura,β he stated.
The comeback of these two categories after placing fourth on the RCAF III 2024 showed how they redeemed themselves in the field of their expertise.
Additionally, two delegates from BASC Short and Sweet Play Musical will also be participating in the aforementioned event after clinching silver medal, serving as the region's representatives for Pandalawahang Pag-arte (Duo Acting).
Overall, BASC attained the 7th place ranking on CAASUC III with the score of 53 points, climbing up from 10th place the previous year.
