A FILIPINO DREAMER WHO TURNED BIG AMBITIONS INTO GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES 🎓
Benjamin Arches Baui from Santo Tomas, Isabela, achieved an incredible milestone after receiving admission offers from seven international universities, with scholarship grants totaling millions of pesos.
Among the universities that accepted him were Arizona State University, Xavier University, the University of Arizona, Merrimack College, Syracuse University, and Jacobs University in Germany. He also earned admission to several top universities in the Philippines.
After carefully weighing his options, Benjamin chose Xavier University in Ohio, where he received his largest scholarship grant, worth approximately ₱7 million over the course of his Architecture program.
Benjamin shared that studying abroad had always been a childhood dream. Inspired by a friend's success, he worked tirelessly through countless applications, recommendation letters, essays, and requirements until his hard work finally paid off.
His achievement became even more meaningful because it also fulfilled his parents' dream of seeing one of their children study abroad. After their family businesses struggled during the pandemic, Benjamin hopes his education will help him build a better future and eventually lift his family out of financial hardship.
