Si Marco at Lito ay matalik na magkaibigan mula pagkabata. Isang araw, nagpasya silang magbangka upang mamasyal sa lawa. Masaya silang nagkukwentuhan habang binabaybay ang kalmadong tubig, ngunit biglang nagbago ang panahon. Lumakas ang hangin at alon, at napansin nilang nagsisimulang pumasok ang tubig sa bangka. Unti-unti itong lumulubog.

Nag-panic si Marco at agad niyang naisip ang kanyang pamilya, lalo na ang kanyang mga magulang na umaasa sa kanya. Gusto niyang iligtas ang sarili, ngunit nang makita niyang nahihirapan si Lito, naisip niyang hindi niya kayang iwanan ang kaibigan.

“Marco, iligtas mo ang sarili mo!” sigaw ni Lito habang pilit na umaahon sa tubig.

Ngunit sa halip na sundin si Lito, hinawakan ni Marco ang kamay ng kaibigan. “Hindi kita iiwan!” sabi ni Marco.

Magkasama silang naglangoy, sinusuong ang malalaking alon. Kahit pagod na, hindi binitiwan ni Marco ang kamay ni Lito. Sa kabutihang-palad, may mga mangingisdang napadaan at tinulungan silang makaligtas. Pareho silang nakauwi nang ligtas, mas lalo pang tumibay ang kanilang pagkakaibigan.

Moral Lesson:

Ang tunay na pagkakaibigan ay hindi iniwan sa oras ng panganib. Minsan, ang pagiging makasarili ay natural sa harap ng takot, ngunit ang pagtulong sa iba, lalo na sa kaibigan, ay nagbubunga ng mas matibay na samahan at tunay na kabutihan.

His wisdom and provision are constant reminders that we are always cared for, no matter the circumstances.

The road of life can sometimes feel uncertain, with twists and turns that lead us into the unknown. But just as a light guides us through the darkness, God’s Word illuminates our path, offering clarity and direction.
When we allow His light to shine upon our journey, we find the strength and wisdom to navigate even the most challenging terrains.

The clouds of life may seem daunting and overwhelming at times, casting shadows over our paths and obscuring our vision.
Yet, it is in these very clouds that we find the presence of God, guiding us through the storms.

Just as the Israelites followed the pillar of cloud by day, we too can trust that God’s presence will lead us through our darkest moments, bringing us to the light of His promises.

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of clouds to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. — Exodus 13:21
