Devotion Title: Level Up

📖 Text: Philippians 3:14 (KJV)

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

👤 By: Dr. Nilo H. Flores
📅 Date: November 13, 2025

Introduction:

Every young person wants to level up in life — in school, career, or success. But the greatest Level Up we can ever experience is not material or digital — it’s spiritual.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that our Christian life is a journey of growth. We must never be content with where we are spiritually. We are called to go higher — in faith, in character, and in service to the Lord.

To “Level Up” in Christ means to rise above spiritual laziness, worldly distraction, and sin, and to pursue a deeper walk with God.

Main Points:

1. Level Up Your Faith

📖 2 Peter 3:18 — “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
Faith is like a muscle — it grows when it’s exercised. We level up our faith when we trust God in trials, obey His Word, and believe His promises even when things seem impossible.
💡 Illustration: A seed must be buried before it can grow. In the same way, our faith often grows strongest in hard times.

2. Level Up Your Character

📖 Romans 12:2 — “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
God is not only concerned with what we do, but with who we are becoming. To level up your character means becoming more Christlike in speech, attitude, and actions.
💡 Illustration: Just as a diamond is formed under pressure, godly character is developed through testing and obedience.

3. Level Up Your Service

📖 Colossians 3:23 — “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
Don’t just serve when it’s easy — serve with excellence, passion, and sincerity. Every talent, every minute, and every effort should glorify Christ.
💡 Illustration: Like a phone that loses power without charging, our service loses strength when we are disconnected from God. Stay connected to the Source — Jesus Christ.

Reference:

Philippians 3:13–14; 2 Peter 3:18; Romans 12:2; Colossians 3:23

Conclusion:

To Level Up in Christ means to refuse spiritual stagnation.
God is calling this generation to go higher — in worship, prayer, obedience, and faithfulness. Don’t stay where you are; rise up to where God wants you to be.

Press toward the mark.
Grow in grace.
Serve with passion.
Live for Christ!

Prayer (KJV):

Heavenly Father,
We thank Thee for calling us to grow in faith and to press toward the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus.
Help us, O Lord, to level up in our faith, to be transformed in character, and to serve Thee with all our heart.
Strengthen every young person to live victoriously and faithfully in this generation.
In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.

📖 Devotional Message: “✍️ Writing for God’s Glory”

📜 Text: Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)

> “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”

👤 By: Dr. Nilo H. Flores
📅 Date: November 11, 2025

💡 Introduction:

🕊️ In every generation, God raises men and women who write—not for fame, but for faith. Writing a Christian book 📚 is not merely putting words on paper; it is proclaiming God’s message in written form. It is a sacred duty to preserve truth, inspire souls, and pass on wisdom to future believers.
🖋️ The pen in the hand of a servant of God can be more powerful than the sword in the hand of a soldier. ⚔️

📘 Main Points:

✨ 1. God Commands His Servants to Write (Habakkuk 2:2)

🕊️ Writing is not man’s idea—it is God’s command. He told His prophet to “write the vision.” Every message God gives is worth sharing, not just speaking. Books become vessels of divine truth that reach beyond the pulpit and across generations.
➡️ A sermon is heard once, but a book can speak forever. 📖

🔖 2. Writing Preserves the Work of God (Jeremiah 30:2)

> “Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.”

📝 When you write, you preserve God’s message. The written word keeps testimonies, lessons, and revelations alive. Many lives are touched today because faithful writers obeyed God and recorded His Word.
➡️ What you write today can lead someone to Christ tomorrow. 🙌

💰 3. Writing Brings Spiritual and Material Blessings (Proverbs 11:25)

> “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.”

💎 Writing for the Lord blesses both the writer and the reader. As you share God’s wisdom, He rewards your labor. Books can also be channels of provision—honoring God while blessing others through the fruit of your hands.
➡️ When you write to glorify God, He writes your blessings in Heaven’s book. 🌤️

🌱 Illustration:

📔 A missionary once wrote his story of faith on a small notebook, not knowing it would be printed and read around the world. 🌍 Through that book, countless souls came to Christ. 🙏 Like that missionary, your written testimony can become a living seed 🌾 planted in many hearts.

🏁 Conclusion:

🕊️ Writing a Christian book is more than a project—it’s a calling.
When you write for the Lord, your words become His instrument to reach souls.
🖋️ Use your gift. Write your message. Leave a legacy of faith.
📚 God can use your book to bless others and even prosper you in His way. 🌟

💌 Note:

📢 If you want to write a book in your own name, I can help you!
🖋️ I will write your idea, print it in your name, and publish it so you can share your message and earn more blessings.
🙏 Please PM me if you’re interested.

---

🙏 Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving us the power of words and the privilege to write for Your glory. ✨
Bless every hand that desires to write for You. Give wisdom, inspiration, and favor to those who will share Your truth through books. 📖
May every page written honor You and touch countless lives. ❤️
In Jesus’ name,
Amen. 🙏

🌄 Message Title: “Thank God for the Sierra Madre: God’s Natural Shield of Mercy”
📖 Text: Psalm 91:1–2 (KJV)

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

👤 Speaker: Dr. Nilo H. Flores
📅 Date: November 10, 2025

🌅 Introduction:

When Super Typhoon Uwan threatened Central Luzon, the hearts of many Filipinos trembled. The winds howled, the rains poured, and the fear of destruction filled the air. But when Uwan reached the mighty Sierra Madre, something powerful happened — the storm weakened. It was as if the mountain stood as God’s wall of protection for our people.

Beloved, this is not mere coincidence — it is the hand of God at work. The Sierra Madre is not just a mountain range; it is a weapon of mercy, a shield of grace, and a testimony that God still protects those who trust in Him.

🌳 Main Points:

1. God Uses His Creation to Protect His People

📖 Psalm 104:32 (KJV) — “He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.”

God can command nature to do His will. The Sierra Madre is not just a mountain—it’s a divine design. When Uwan came, God used this mountain as a barrier to weaken the storm. Just as He used a fish to save Jonah, a wind to part the Red Sea, and a star to guide the wise men—He used Sierra Madre to save Central Luzon.

🪶 Lesson: The same God who controls the storm can use any part of His creation to protect you.

2. God’s Protection is a Sign of His Unfailing Mercy

📖 Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV) — “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Though we are often unfaithful, God remains merciful. The weakening of Uwan is a picture of His grace. It reminds us that even when judgment seems near, His mercy still prevails.

🕊️ Lesson: The protection we receive is not because we deserve it—but because of His love and mercy.

3. God Deserves Our Thanksgiving and Trust

📖 Psalm 107:1 (KJV) — “O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

The people of Central Luzon have witnessed the power of God’s protection. Now, our response must be thanksgiving and trust. We must not only thank Him for sparing us, but also trust Him to sustain us. Let us not take the Sierra Madre for granted, but thank God who made it stand as our shield.

🌾 Lesson: Gratitude is the key to continued blessing. A thankful heart keeps you close to the Giver.

📚 Illustration:

A farmer in Nueva Ecija once said, “Kung wala ang Sierra Madre, baka wala na rin kami.” When Uwan hit, his fields were spared because the winds weakened before reaching them. He lifted his hands and said, “Salamat sa Diyos, ginamit Niya ang bundok para protektahan kami.”

In the same way, many of us were spared — not by our strength, but by the Lord’s hand working through nature.

🌈 Conclusion:

The Sierra Madre may be called the "backbone of Luzon," but in truth, God is the real backbone of our protection. He is our refuge, our fortress, and our deliverer.

Let us continue to thank Him, trust Him, and take care of His creation — because it is part of His divine plan for our safety.

🙏 Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
We thank Thee for Thy mercy and protection upon Central Luzon. Thank You for using the Sierra Madre as a shield against Typhoon Uwan. Truly, You are our refuge and fortress in times of storm.
Teach us to be grateful, to care for Your creation, and to trust You in every trial. May we always remember that Your power is greater than any storm, and Your love endures forever.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray,
Amen.

🌪️“Prayer: The Best Weapon Against Super Typhoon Uwan”
📖 Text: Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) —

> “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

👤 Speaker: By Dr. Nilo H. Flores
📅 Date: November 2025

🌅 Introduction:

When storms like Super Typhoon Uwan strike our land, fear often fills our hearts. Winds rage, waves roar, and people seek safety. But beyond the physical storm, there is a spiritual truth — the greatest defense we have is not found in concrete walls or emergency plans, but in our knees bent before God in prayer.
Prayer is the Christian’s weapon — unseen by men but mighty through God. When the winds howl and the rain pours, it is prayer that calms our hearts and moves the hand of the Almighty.

🌤️ Main Points:

1. Prayer Invites God’s Presence in the Midst of the Storm

📖 Psalm 46:1 (KJV) — “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
When we pray, we welcome God into our situation. Just as the disciples called out to Jesus in the storm (Mark 4:39), we too must cry out in faith. The same Lord who said, “Peace, be still,” can quiet the fiercest typhoon in our lives today.

🕊️ Subpoint: God does not always stop the storm immediately — but He will always stay with us through it.

2. Prayer Strengthens Our Faith When Fear Overwhelms Us

📖 Isaiah 41:10 (KJV) — “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.”
When the world panics, the believer prays. Through prayer, fear is replaced with faith. The more we pray, the less we worry. Prayer turns anxiety into assurance because it reminds us who is in control — not the typhoon, not the weather, but God Himself.

🕊️ Subpoint: Prayer changes not only the situation but also the heart of the one who prays.

3. Prayer Moves the Hand of God Toward Protection and Peace

📖 James 5:16 (KJV) — “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
Prayer is powerful. It can move mountains, stop plagues, and calm raging seas. When believers unite in prayer, heaven hears and responds. God may use the storm to awaken hearts, to teach us dependence, and to remind us that He alone is our shelter.

🕊️ Subpoint: A praying nation can experience God’s mercy even in the eye of a storm.

🌈 Illustration:

During Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), one family in Leyte gathered inside their small home and prayed earnestly as the winds tore the roof apart. While many structures around them collapsed, their family survived unharmed. After the storm, they testified, “We had nothing left — except our faith. And that was enough.”
That story reminds us: when all else fails, prayer prevails.

🌅 Conclusion:

The greatest weapon we can wield against any typhoon — whether it’s Uwan or the storms of life — is prayer.
It brings God’s peace when panic arises. It strengthens our faith when fear grips us. It reminds us that even if the storm rages, our God reigns.

Let us not only prepare physically for the storm but also spiritually — by praying, believing, and trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ.

🙏 Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
We come to You as Your people in this time of storm. We pray for protection, for peace, and for faith that stands strong. Lord, calm the winds of Super Typhoon Uwan and shield every home and family in our land. Teach us to trust in You more than our fears. May Your presence be our refuge, and Your will be our peace.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray,
Amen.

📖 Topic: Commit and Trust in the Lord’s Way
📜 Text: Proverbs 16:3, 7 (KJV) —
“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.”
“When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
👤 Speaker: Ptr. Nilo H. Flores
📅 Date: November 6, 2025

🕊️ Introduction:

Many people plan their lives carefully — setting goals, pursuing careers, and managing relationships. Yet, without God’s direction, our best plans often fail. Proverbs 16 reminds us that true success comes when we commit everything to the Lord and please Him in all our ways. When we surrender our works and our ways to God, He gives peace, stability, and favor—even with those who oppose us.

💡1. Commit Your Works to the Lord (v. 3)

To “commit” means to roll over or entrust everything to God.

Our plans, our decisions, our ministries, our families—everything belongs to Him.

When we fully trust God, He will direct our thoughts and actions according to His perfect will.

📖 Psalm 37:5 — “Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”

2. Please the Lord in Your Ways (v. 7)

God is pleased when we walk in obedience, humility, and love.

Pleasing God begins with a sincere heart that seeks His will.

When our ways reflect His character, others see Christ through us.

📖 Colossians 1:10 — “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work.”

3. Experience God’s Peace and Favor

When we live to please the Lord, He brings harmony even in difficult relationships.

God can turn enemies into friends, and conflict into peace.

Obedience and commitment invite divine protection and favor.

📖 Romans 8:31 — “If God be for us, who can be against us?”

📚 Reference:

Proverbs 16:3, 7; Psalm 37:5; Colossians 1:10; Romans 8:31

🌾 Illustration:

A farmer once prayed every morning before working in his field, saying, “Lord, these are Your crops, Your land, and I am Your servant. Bless what I do today.” Each season, his harvest prospered—not because of luck, but because he dedicated his work to God. Likewise, when we commit our ways to Him, He takes care of the rest.

🏁 Conclusion:

True success in life is not about achieving our plans, but allowing God’s plan to succeed through us. When we commit our works to the Lord and live in a way that pleases Him, He establishes our thoughts, gives us peace, and grants us favor even in the presence of our enemies.

🙏 Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us to commit all our works to You. Teach us to walk in Your ways and to please You in all that we do. Establish our thoughts, guide our hearts, and let Your peace reign over our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

📖 Topic: “The Danger of Greed and the Reward of Integrity”
Text: Proverbs 15:27 (KJV) — “He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.”
Speaker: By Ptr. Nilo H. Flores
Date: November 5, 2025

Introduction:

In a world that measures success by wealth and possessions, the temptation to be greedy is stronger than ever. Many people destroy their homes, relationships, and even their faith because of their love for money. The Bible reminds us that greed brings trouble, but integrity brings life and peace.

1. Greed Brings Destruction

When a person becomes greedy for gain, he invites trouble into his home.

Greed blinds the heart and causes compromise.

It leads to dishonesty, division, and distrust among family members.

The pursuit of riches often costs one’s peace, joy, and even spiritual life.

📖 Reference: 1 Timothy 6:9–10 — “For the love of money is the root of all evil...”

2. Integrity Brings Protection

“He that hateth gifts shall live” — this means rejecting dishonest gain preserves your life.

A man of integrity refuses to be bought by bribes or favors.

Integrity protects your name and your home.

Living uprightly brings God’s favor and lasting peace.

📖 Reference: Proverbs 10:9 — “He that walketh uprightly walketh surely...”

3. God Rewards the Faithful

The Lord sees the heart of those who choose righteousness over riches.

What money cannot buy, God provides—peace, health, and spiritual blessings.

Faithfulness in little things leads to true prosperity from God.

The blessings of the Lord are pure and add no sorrow with it.

📖 Reference: Proverbs 10:22 — “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

Illustration:

A businessman once cheated his clients to gain more profit. For a while, he thought he was successful. But later, his workers left, his family turned against him, and his peace disappeared. When he repented and returned to honest work, he found joy again. Greed can destroy what integrity can build.

Conclusion:

True success is not measured by what you have, but by how you live. A greedy heart invites destruction, but a godly heart filled with integrity enjoys the favor and peace of God. Let us choose to honor the Lord in every decision, trusting that His blessings are far greater than what the world can offer.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us that greed destroys but integrity brings life. Teach us to be content with what we have and to walk honestly before You. Help us to reject every form of dishonest gain and to live a life that pleases You. Bless our homes with peace, joy, and righteousness. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

📖 Topic: “The Company You Keep”
📜 Text: Proverbs 13:20 (KJV) — “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”
👤 Speaker: Pastor Nilo H. Flores
📅 Date: November 4, 2025

Introduction:

The people we choose to walk with in life greatly influence who we become. Our friends shape our attitudes, decisions, and even our destiny. Proverbs 13:20 reminds us that wisdom is contagious, but so is foolishness. We must choose our companions wisely if we want to live a life that honors God.

1. Walk with the Wise — Learn from Them
When we walk with wise men, their godly counsel, maturity, and discernment rub off on us. We learn from their experiences and avoid unnecessary mistakes. Wisdom grows in the presence of wise people.
📖 Proverbs 19:20 — “Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.”

2. Beware of Foolish Companions — They Bring Destruction
Bad company corrupts good manners. Foolish friends lead us away from God and into destruction. What seems like fun at first often leads to regret.
📖 1 Corinthians 15:33 — “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”

3. Choose Companionship That Builds You Spiritually
Surround yourself with believers who love the Lord, who pray, and who challenge you to grow in faith. True friends help you walk closer to Christ.
📖 Proverbs 27:17 — “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”

Illustration:

A young man once walked daily with a wise old pastor. Over time, people noticed he began to talk, think, and act like him. It wasn’t by teaching alone—it was through daily fellowship. The same happens when we walk with godly people; their influence molds us.

Conclusion:

The path to wisdom is not just through reading or learning—it’s through walking with the right people. Be intentional with your friendships. Walk with the wise, and you will grow wise; walk with fools, and you will suffer harm.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to choose my companions wisely. Surround me with people who love You and will lead me closer to Your will. Keep me away from influences that destroy my walk with You. Make me a godly example to others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏

Topic: Wise Counsel and Winning Souls
Text: Proverbs 11:14, 30 (KJV)

“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”
Speaker: Dr. Nilo H. Flores
Date: November 3, 2025

Introduction

Every believer needs wisdom — not only for personal growth but also for guiding others toward God. Proverbs 11 reminds us that counsel and soul-winning are marks of true wisdom. Without godly direction, people stumble; but through the wisdom of the righteous, others find life. A wise Christian seeks counsel from the Word of God and helps others find eternal life in Christ.

Main Points

1. The Danger of Living Without Counsel

“Where no counsel is, the people fall.”

When we rely on our own understanding, we make poor choices.

Many fall not because of weakness, but because they reject godly advice.
📖 Reference: Proverbs 15:22 KJV — “Without counsel purposes are disappointed.”

2. The Safety Found in Godly Advice

“In the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”

God uses spiritual leaders, pastors, and fellow believers to guide us.

Seeking wise counsel shows humility and dependence on God’s wisdom, not our own.
📖 Reference: James 1:5 KJV — “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.”

3. The Wisdom of a Soul Winner

“He that winneth souls is wise.”

The greatest act of wisdom is leading others to eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Every believer is called to share the Gospel — not by force, but by love and truth.
📖 Reference: Daniel 12:3 KJV — “They that turn many to righteousness shall shine as the stars for ever and ever.”

Conclusion

A wise Christian seeks godly counsel and shares the Good News. The fruit of a righteous life is not only personal blessing but the salvation of others. Let us walk wisely — by listening to God’s voice and winning souls for His glory.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word that gives counsel and wisdom. Help us to walk humbly, seek Your guidance, and use our lives to bring others to Christ. Make us wise soul-winners who bear fruit that remains. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Why Christians Do Not Celebrate Halloween
By. Pastor Nilo H. Flores

Text: Ephesians 5:11 (KJV) – “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

1. Halloween Glorifies Darkness, Not Light

Halloween focuses on themes like death, fear, witchcraft, and evil spirits — things that are completely opposite to God’s nature.

1 John 1:5 says, “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”

Christians are called to walk in the light, not to join in the world’s celebration of darkness.

2. It Originated from Pagan Practices

Halloween has roots in ancient Celtic pagan festivals (like Samhain) where people believed spirits returned to the earth.

The Bible warns against any connection to witchcraft, spiritism, or fortune-telling (Deuteronomy 18:10–12).

Though some say it’s “just for fun,” its origin and symbolism are tied to the occult — which Christians must avoid.

3. It Contradicts Our Christian Witness

As believers, we are called to be “a peculiar people” (1 Peter 2:9) — different from the world.

Joining Halloween activities can confuse others about what we stand for.

Instead of dressing like ghosts or demons, we should reflect Jesus’ light and truth.

4. We Celebrate Life, Not Death

Halloween promotes images of tombs, skeletons, and fear — but Christ conquered death and gave us eternal life (2 Timothy 1:10).

Christians celebrate resurrection, not darkness; hope, not fear.

Conclusion:

Christians do not celebrate Halloween because it does not honor God. It glorifies what Jesus came to defeat — sin, fear, and death. As children of God, we are called to be separate, to walk in light, and to use this time to share the good news that Jesus Christ gives life and victory over darkness.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for delivering us from darkness into Your marvelous light. Help us not to conform to the ways of the world but to stand for truth and holiness. Teach us to use every opportunity, even during Halloween, to point others to Jesus — the Light of the World. In His name, Amen.

Short Devotion.

Topic: The Blessing That Adds No Sorrow
Text: Proverbs 10:22 (KJV) – “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
Date: November 2, 2025
Speaker: Ptr. Nilo H. Flores

Introduction:

Many people today chase wealth, success, and recognition — believing that these will bring happiness. But often, what the world calls “blessing” comes with stress, worry, and sorrow. True blessing, according to Proverbs 10:22, is the one that comes from the Lord — and it brings peace, not pain.

Main Points:

1. God Is the Source of Every True Blessing

a. Every good gift comes from God (James 1:17).

b. What God gives is always right, perfect, and on time.

c. We must learn to depend on Him, not on our own effort.

2. God’s Blessing Brings True Riches

a. Riches are not measured only by money but by contentment, peace, and joy.

b. Many have wealth but no rest; only God can give inner satisfaction.

c. When God blesses, He fills both the hand and the heart.

3. God’s Blessing Adds No Sorrow

a. Worldly success often brings pride, fear, or trouble.

b. God’s blessings come with peace because they are pure and purposeful.

c. What God gives, He sustains — without regret or pain.

Conclusion:

The true measure of blessing is not how much we have, but how much joy and peace come with it. When God blesses, He adds no sorrow. Let us trust Him as our provider, knowing that His blessings are eternal, satisfying, and full of grace.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for being the source of every true blessing. Teach us to seek You above all riches and to be content with what You provide. May every blessing we receive bring glory to Your name and peace to our hearts. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
