On the 11th of January, Paulinians from all departments gathered for their Second Sunday Sponsored Mass at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Poblacion, San Miguel, Bulacan. The community united to offer their prayers and gifts to God during this meaningful celebration.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Avelino Sampana explained that baptism is not just about the forgiveness of sins or becoming a Christian. Many people say, โ€œKristiyano ka na,โ€ after baptism, but what they forget is the most important part โ€” realizing that we have become children of God. This Holy blessing also brings us a great responsibility.

โ€œHindi sapat ang Kristiyano kana, ligtas kana, pero hindi kapa ganap.โ€, Fr. Sampana said to his congregation, encouraging us that as we grow, we must fulfill our duties as children of God.

โ€œAno nga ba ang mga gampanin natin bilang isang anak ng Diyos.โ€, he added. With this, let us all remind ourselves of our sole duty as baptized Catholics, and as children created on His image.

Our responsibilities and how we deal with them are a testament of our faith towards God, the Father and the world we live in.

On December 12, 2025, elementary students from Dr. Juan F. Pascual Memorial School reached a spiritual milestone as they received their First Holy Communion at the San Antonio de Padua Chapel.

The solemn celebration was presided over by Fr. Philip Faustino Volante, who emphasized the importance of the Eucharist in the children's daily lives. The event was led and facilitated by the SPUSM school administrators and students, ensuring a meaningful and organized ceremony for the young communicants and their families.

Through the collaborative efforts of the school leadership and the parish, the students successfully took this important step in their journey of faith.

A goal begins with a dream once desiredโ€”a dream that motivates the heart to move forward and aspire.

Teaching, in all its nobility, is a dream fueled by a passion to help shape a generation. It is the result of years of hard work and dedicated study to become a competitive educatorโ€”one capable of imparting both knowledge and virtue to a classroom of students with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Today, those dreams have transformed into a well-earned achievement. We celebrate our newly licensed professional teachers from the Septemberโ€“November Licensure Examination for Teachers, with special recognition for those from the Paulinian community.

Joy came into the world quietly, not in a palace or with a crown, but in a small manger under the stars. In the quiet town of Bethlehem, hope was born as a baby, reminding us that great things can come from simple beginnings. The cry of the newborn Jesus broke the silence, showing not weakness, but the start of Godโ€™s love and salvation.

The birth of Jesus teaches us that joy does not need power or perfection. It grows through humility, trust, and faith. God chose a simple place and ordinary people to show that light can shine even in dark and humble moments. At that time, heaven felt close to earth, and joy became something real and alive.

Via Gaudi reminds us to walk a path of joy by valuing presence over riches. Jesus was born among shepherds and strangers, teaching us that joy is meant to be shared with others. His birth shows us that hope may begin small, grow quietly, and stay with us forever.

Tertiary Students of St. Paul University at San Miguel gathered inside Honorio Resurreccion Gymnasium last December 10, 2025 for the release of the Tertiary Education Subsidy from the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST). The TES, spearheaded by Commission on Higher Education or CHED, aims to lessen the financial burden of the students by providing financial aid and assistance to every student no matter their situation.

St. Paul University at San Miguel is a proud beneficiary of this program which lines with its core values of serving the Community by giving quality education to the municipality, and its population.

St. Paul University at San Miguel marked the start of its Christmas season with its 8th Illumination of campus lights, drawing students, faculty, and guests to the quadrangle. The event featured a display of fireworks that lit up the evening sky, adding a festive atmosphere as spectators gathered to witness the celebration.

Following the lighting ceremony, Paulinian performers presented a series of concerts showcasing musical numbers prepared for the occasion. The performances highlighted the talent of the universityโ€™s students and contributed to the warm and communal spirit of the night.

As the night ended, Paulinians are left with an unforgettable evening spent with their advisers, friends, and their significant others in this lively annual event.

A blessed Christmas awaits us all, let us enjoy another successful academic year!

Love trickled out of a bleeding heart.
Happiness emptied from the husk of a once-glowing soul.
Hope was lost from a once-guided life.

Yet despite this, one kept running on fumes, trying to get everything in order, even if it was slow, heavy, sluggish, exhausting, and draining.

One kept fighting. One kept walking.

Clinging to the little warmth they had received, they used it as motivation not to be better for the reason that took away their spark, but to heal their wounds and become a better person for themselves.

One still pushed through that pain and uncertainty, through hopelessness and negativity, through the blurry days and endless nights, one still tried
They entered the gates bearing nothing but the little embers they clung to. They expected nothing, but what they received was far more than they could have wanted.

Hope and light filled the air. An infinitely radiating warmth of acceptance, embrace, and comfort wafted through it. Holiness engulfed the place and filled it with love and joy.

What was once a fading ember caught fire in the presence of true and overwhelming love. The birth of Christ, eternal and radiant, fed the flame until it blazed anew, casting golden light upon the path that had once been lost to darkness.

It gave hope. It radiated love. It illuminated their life.

It cast the endless nights aside. It healed the wounds the past inflicted upon their hearts. It mellowed the sorrows that battered them through the silence. It transformed suffering into solemnity and sacredness, giving it purpose, meaning, and light.

Christ is the light God brought to a world drowning in sorrow, hatred, and hopelessness. He is that flame that is infinitely radiating light and hope. He is the essence of Illuminate. He is the greatest gift given to the Least, the Last, and the Lost.

He is the greatest Hope, the restorer of shattered hearts, the Healer of the broken.
And in His light, even the most wounded soul learns how to burn again.
