Following the last class of the day, the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Godofredo M. Tan Integrated School of Arts and Trades (GMTISAT) gathered for a simple yet meaningful belated birthday celebration in honor of their beloved principal, Sir Rousell Lito E. Alva, whose birthday was celebrated on August 20.

Fondly known as the school's “Rousellient” Principal, Sir Rousell continues to inspire the GMTISAT community through his resilience and dedication. The dinner gathering served as a heartfelt expression of gratitude from the faculty and staff for having a leader who consistently guides the school with vision, compassion, and commitment.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the sharing of heartfelt messages and well wishes from colleagues, including teachers who were once Sir Rousell's students and are now part of the GMTISAT teaching force. Their words reflected the lasting impact he has made as both an educator and a school leader, inspiring generations of learners and fellow educators alike.

More than a birthday celebration, the gathering became a testament to the respect, appreciation, and strong sense of family within the GMTISAT community. As the evening concluded, everyone present offered prayers and sincere wishes, hoping that whatever Sir Rousell aspires for himself, his family, and the school community may be granted through God's abundant blessings.

Happy Belated Birthday, Sir Rousell! May the Lord continue to bless you with good health, wisdom, strength, and many more fruitful years of inspiring leadership.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣

Celebrating the birthday of our Principal, 𝙨𝙞𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝙀. 𝘼𝙡𝙫𝙖!

In every school, there are people who do more than hold positions—they shape direction, inspire people, and quietly keep things moving. Among them is Principal Rousell Lito Alva, a leader whose dedication to service continues to leave a meaningful mark on the school community.

Leadership, after all, is never just about making decisions. It is about listening to concerns, standing firm when necessary, and knowing when to lead from the front—and when to simply let the team do its thing. Through the daily challenges of school life, Sir Rousell continues to carry his responsibilities with commitment, professionalism, and a touch of resilience that every school leader certainly needs.

From programs and plans to meetings, memos, and the occasional “Sir, may concern po…” moment, there is always something waiting at the principal’s office. Yet behind the responsibilities is a leader who remains committed to creating a school environment where everyone is encouraged to grow, contribute, and strive for excellence.

Today, however, the agenda is different.

No meetings. No deadlines. No urgent concerns—at least for today. 😉

Today, we celebrate the person behind the position: a mentor, a leader, and a valued member of the school community.

May this birthday mark the beginning of another meaningful chapter filled with good health, greater achievements, genuine happiness, and countless blessings. May you continue to lead with purpose, serve with heart, and inspire with the wisdom that comes from experience.

And perhaps, for one day, may the “urgent” matters wait until tomorrow. After all, even principals deserve a well-earned birthday break.

𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍 𝑹𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒐 𝑨𝒍𝒗𝒂!

Here’s to another year of purposeful leadership, meaningful service, and making a difference—one decision, one learner, and one school day at a time. ✨

The learning continued as student journalists gathered for Session 5 of Project Veracity, focusing on Broadcast Journalism, particularly Mobile Journalism (MoJo). Led by Sir Kier Alvin Alzola, the session introduced participants to the essentials of using mobile technology to capture, produce, and deliver news stories effectively.

Through discussions and practical activities, trainees explored how a journalist can turn a simple mobile device into a powerful tool for storytelling—highlighting the importance of preparation, observation, accuracy, and creativity in producing compelling broadcast content.

From the field to the screen, every story begins with a journalist ready to capture the moment.
