First game for San Pablo City was against Sta. Rosa. It was a heated matchup from the tip-off and neither team was slowing down. The score in the 1st quarter was all four for almost three minutes, due to the tough defense of both teams, until Casey Dalisay, point guard for SPC, made a crucial steal and assist for Marqui Vyehl Brofar, Captain ball for SPC, to break the deadlock.
By the end of the quarter, the score was 24 to 18 in favor of San Pablo. The 2nd and 3rd quarters were as heated as the 1st. At the start of the 3rd quarter, the players from both chapters were getting under each otherโs skin. Their scores didnโt go above 40 points until the 4th quarter.
The two teams were neck and neck with each other. It was as heated as the later with the players giving it their all on the court. Harvey Calusa hit a series of clutch 3-pointers and lay-ups to seal the win for San Pablo with the supporting cast of Brofar, Dalisay, Khyle De Roma, Aerol Justine Camitan, Vin Violan, Johnchester Suministrado, Lance Rivera, and others. The final score of the game was 70-67 in favor of San Pablo.

The following game for San Pablo, which was the championship game against a high-flying Cabuyao team. At the start of the game, San Pablo and Cabuyao were very physical with each other. Both teams were playing lockdown defense for the whole quarter with the scores not going above 20. In the 2nd quarter, Dalisay made a clutch steal and laid the ball in the hoop with his speed and ball-handling. Also, making a no-look pass for Calusa continued his shooting streak from the previous game.
After the first half, San Pablo was trailing behind due to Suministrado, Small Forward for San Pablo, played through a minor leg-injury he took in the 1st quarter, but they had a comeback brewing every few minutes whenever Cabuyao would score.
By the start of the 4th, the two teams were running on pure adrenaline. San Pablo managed to catch up thanks to Calusaโs 3-pointers and gave them the lead with a lay-up to seal the win with a 1-point lead. The final score was 66-65 in favor of San Pablo.
A few players shared their thoughts on the competition. According to Calusa, Shooting Guard of San Pablo, โFirst of all nagpapasalamat kami kay God dahil binigay nya itong pinakamagandang regalo at gumawa kami ng history para sa school, at nagpapasalamat din po kami sa Coach [Marius Tala] namin sa walang sawang pag-intinde samin pati narin po kay pastor Erwin sa lahat-lahat po nagpapasalamat kami, pati na rin po sa mga sponsors namin.
โHindi po namin kayo binigo,โ he emphasized.
As quoted by Dalisay, Point Guard of San Pablo, โItโs so much fun to be a champion, itโs different from normal winning kase hindi biro yung mga sakripisyo at pagod naming lahat, especially our coach, who never gets tired of giving up on us, thatโs why we have no intention of giving up in our upcoming games.โ
โRate ko sa laro ko in past few days ay siguro six out of 10, hindi ko masasabing maganda yung laro ko pero nagawa ko naman yung role ko as a player at nabigay ko rin lahat ng best ko at ng mga teammates ko kaya namin nakuha ang champion in LAPPRISADA.โ he added.
Brofar said.
