While we were at the mall, I suddenly noticed my son was no longer by my side.

Then I found him in a toy store having conversation with the cashier.

I asked the cashier what they were talking about.
She smiled and explained that my son had asked her to hide a toy he liked so he could come back and buy it once he saved enough money.

I was surprised, but also proud.
In that moment, I saw how thoughtful and determined he was. Instead of asking me to buy it right away, he was already learning the value of patience, planning, and saving. It was a small moment, but a big lesson about responsibility.
