To every woman who has ever felt alone β
Your feelings are valid. But remember: God is with you.
Do you remember Queen Esther's story in the Bible? Let me share it with you.
Esther was a Jewish queen during a time when her people were under threat. A man named Haman plotted to destroy the entire Jewish nation. Her cousin Mordecai came to her with the terrifying news β and asked her to go before the king on behalf of her people.
What did Esther feel? She was scared. She felt alone. But here's what made her story unique: even with a heavy heart, she drew close to God. She paused. She prayed. She asked for His wisdom.
Esther called for a fast β three days, hard and uncertain β but she walked through it in faith, with confidence, full of trust.
When the day finally came, she walked in with her worries and her anxieties still there, but she believed God was more powerful than her fear.
And God moved. He did not allow her people to be wiped out.
This is when I remember the verse: God is near to the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18. He listens to the prayers of the righteous Psalm 34:15.
Esther approached the king with honesty and courage. And the king extended favor to her.
The moral of the story: in the times we feel most alone, it's not true β we're never actually alone. God is sovereign. When we allow Him to work in our lives, when we listen for His voice and walk with Him, everything will fall into place.
It won't be instant. It won't be easy. But it is worth it. Jesus offers rest. Jesus offers salvation.
