Another key added to the portfolio! 🗝️
Picked up this BYD Seal 5 last March, but instead of letting it sit in our garage, it’s out on the streets working. Handed this beauty over to my business partner who is fully managing the rentals for this unit. 🤝

Lazy Suzy
📍Podium Mall, Mandaluyong

We love trying different restaurants whenever we can, sometimes it’s a family food trip, sometimes date night, sometimes just me and mom. Always honest, always real opinions. 🍽️

Lazy Suzy is a modern Asian restaurant at Podium Mall by the team behind Your Local. Known for its stylish interiors and creative take on Asian comfort food, it’s a great spot for special occasions or casual get-togethers.

🍴 What we ordered:
• Lazy Suzy Floss Dumplings
• Whipped Tofu and Focaccia
• Night Market Fried Chicken
• Black Truffle Chow Mein
• Lazy Suzy Beef Charsiu

⭐ FOOD RATING: 8.5/10
📌 Worth it? Yes

OUR VERDICT:
This has been on my must-try list since it opened, so I was happy we finally got to visit, and even happier that I got to celebrate my birthday here.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior with a modern yet cozy vibe. As a fan of Your Local, I had high expectations, and overall, it delivered.

The Lazy Suzy Floss Dumplings were our favorite. The texture was spot on, and the sauce elevated every bite. The Night Market Fried Chicken was another standout, packed with bold flavors and cooked perfectly. The Black Truffle Chow Mein was rich, fragrant, and satisfying, while the Whipped Tofu and Focaccia was lighter and more subtle, making it a good dish to balance everything else.

Our least favorite was the Lazy Suzy Beef Charsiu. It leaned more on the sweeter side, and we personally wished it had a deeper, more savory flavor.

The staff were attentive, friendly, and accommodating throughout our visit. Our only small comment is that we wished some of the portions were a bit bigger because everything was so enjoyable.

Overall, we had a great dining experience, and I’m glad I chose to celebrate my birthday here. Definitely a place we’d love to visit again.

Have you tried Lazy Suzy yet? What’s your favorite dish there? 🥢✨

Umi Matsu
📍Parqal Mall, Parañaque

We love trying different restaurants whenever we can, sometimes it’s a family food trip, sometimes date night, sometimes just me and mom. Always honest, always real opinions. 🍽️

Umi Matsu is a Japanese restaurant at Parqal Mall offering a wide selection of sushi, rice bowls, fried favorites, and other Japanese comfort food. With its warm interiors and traditional Japanese-inspired design, it’s a nice spot for casual meals with family and friends.

🍴 What we ordered:
• Shake Roll
• Chicken Nanban
• Katsudon
• Hirekatsu
• Kaisen Chahan

⭐ FOOD RATING: 7/10
📌 Worth it? Yes

OUR VERDICT:
I was browsing through my gallery and came across these photos from one of our visits to Umi Matsu.

The restaurant itself made a good first impression. The interiors were warm, spacious, and had a nice Japanese vibe, plus the menu offered plenty of options to choose from.

For the food, everything we ordered was good and the serving sizes were decent. The Hirekatsu was crispy and cooked well, the Katsudon was comforting and satisfying, while the Chicken Nanban had a creamy sauce that paired nicely with the crispy chicken. The Shake Roll and Kaisen Chahan were both enjoyable and rounded out the meal well.

That said, while we enjoyed everything, nothing really stood out enough for us to crave or come back specifically for a certain dish. It’s a solid Japanese restaurant with good variety, but we’ve had better in terms of overall flavor.

Still, if you’re visiting Parqal Mall and looking for a reliable Japanese restaurant with a spacious dining area and plenty of menu choices, Umi Matsu is a good option to consider. 🇯🇵🍣

Café 10/23
📍Imus, Cavite

We love trying different restaurants whenever we can, sometimes it’s a family food trip, sometimes date night, sometimes just me and mom. Always honest, always real opinions. 🍽️

Café 10/23 is a cozy café in Imus, Cavite known for its modern interiors, relaxing garden-inspired ambiance, and spacious outdoor dining area. It’s a popular spot for coffee dates, casual hangouts, and anyone looking for a quiet place to unwind.

🍴 What we ordered:
• Imus Longganisa Pasta
• 10/23 Salad
• Beef Tapa
• Chicken Tenders

⭐ FOOD RATING: 6.5/10
📌 Worth it? Just okay

OUR VERDICT:
These photos were taken during one of our previous visits. Overall, I’d say the experience has been a bit hit or miss. Some visits were enjoyable, while on others, the food wasn’t as consistent.

The Imus Longganisa Pasta was our favorite and definitely the standout. On one visit, it was flavorful and well-balanced, though it wasn’t quite as good on another. The Beef Tapa, Chicken Tenders, and 10/23 Salad were all decent, while the drinks were just okay.

Our biggest issue has always been the waiting time. Ordering at the counter can take quite a while, and the food itself also takes time to arrive. If you’re planning to visit, it’s probably best not to come too hungry.

That said, if you’re after a relaxing atmosphere, beautiful interiors, and a social media-worthy café, Café 10/23 is still worth checking out. The ambiance is definitely the highlight and makes it a nice place to catch up with family or friends.

Would you wait a little longer for good vibes and a beautiful café? ☕🌿

Mister Kabab
📍Alabang West, Las Piñas

We love trying different restaurants whenever we can, sometimes it’s a family food trip, sometimes date night, sometimes just me and mom. Always honest, always real opinions. 🍽️

Mister Kabab is a well-known Middle Eastern restaurant famous for its kebabs, rice meals, and flavorful Persian-inspired dishes. Their Alabang West branch has been drawing quite a crowd since opening, so we were finally excited to see what the hype was about.

🍴 What we ordered:
• Beef Special Chelo Kabab
• Chicken Special Chelo Kabab
• Pumpkin Soup

⭐ FOOD RATING: 7/10
📌 Worth it? Yes

OUR VERDICT:
We’ve been curious about Mister Kabab for a while since it’s almost always packed whenever we pass by. Since it was our first visit, we kept it simple and ordered their Beef and Chicken Special Chelo Kabab.

Both the beef and chicken were tender, juicy, and best enjoyed with their garlic yogurt sauce and chili sauce, which added extra flavor to every bite. I also upgraded the Chicken Chelo Kabab to basmati rice, and personally, I think it paired much better with the grilled chicken than the regular rice or pita bread.

As usual, my mom couldn’t skip the soup, so we ordered the Pumpkin Soup. It was creamy, smooth, and comforting, making it a nice starter before the main dishes arrived.

One thing we liked is that the menu offers plenty of unfamiliar dishes for first-timers like us, which gives us a reason to come back and explore more of their specialties.

Overall, the food was good, but nothing that completely stood out for us on this visit. Our only minor issue was that the dining area felt a bit warm during the afternoon, and we think the experience would have been more comfortable if the place were fully air-conditioned.

Have you tried Mister Kabab? What dish should we order on our next visit? 🥙✨

Tipsy Pig
📍Westgate, Alabang

We love trying different restaurants whenever we can, sometimes it’s a family food trip, sometimes date night, sometimes just me and mom. Always honest, always real opinions. 🍽️

Tipsy Pig is a popular gastropub in Westgate, Alabang known for its Filipino comfort food, creative bar chow, and lively atmosphere. It’s a go-to spot for casual gatherings, after-work drinks, and catching up with friends over good food and drinks.

🍴 What we ordered:
• Roast Pork Platter
• Sizzling Bulalo
• Pares Tacos

⭐ FOOD RATING: 7/10
📌 Worth it? Just okay

OUR VERDICT:
This was from a visit a while back. If you know me, I tend to enjoy bold and flavorful food, but during this visit, most of the dishes leaned a little too salty for my personal preference.

The Roast Pork Platter was decent. The skin was crispy, the meat was tender, and it delivered what you’d expect from a good roast pork dish.

The Sizzling Bulalo was actually one of the better dishes we had. The beef was tender and comforting, making it easy to enjoy with a bowl of rice.

The Pares Tacos were probably the most interesting item we ordered. Combining pares with tacos was a creative idea, and surprisingly, it worked quite well. It offered familiar Filipino flavors in a different format, although it also leaned on the salty side for us.

Overall, the meal was okay. We’ve had better versions of similar dishes elsewhere, but we can still see the appeal of Tipsy Pig. The lively atmosphere and menu seem better suited for sharing with friends over drinks, where the stronger flavors would probably pair much better.

Would you try Pares Tacos if you saw them on a menu? 🌮🍖
