𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 | 𝗟𝗨 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝘀 𝟰 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝟭𝟵.𝟬𝟱% 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗘

Laguna University proudly celebrates its examinees who conquered the August 2026 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination (MELE), garnering an overall passing rate of 19.05%, with 4 out of 21 examinees earning their title.

Among the 12 first-time examinees, 2 successfully passed, reaching a passing rate of 16.67%. Meanwhile, 2 out of the 12 retakers passed, resulting in a 22.22% passing rate.

Laguna University wholeheartedly welcomes its newest Registered Mechanical Engineers (RMEs). May this achievement encourage a passion for dedication, growth, and a mind that is set to reach new heights providing true service to the country through innovations. May you continue to excel in your fields while upholding integrity, carrying the core values of the university.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 (𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝟐) | Various trainers from the Psychology Department assembled at the Laguna Sports Complex Gymnasium to catch Pokémons and treasure stories, adding them to their Pokéballs of memories from their university journey. The annual general assembly themed, “Psychémons: Catching Knowledge, Training Minds,” called for an eventful gathering, August 12.
The event celebrated the start of the academic year with the honorable oath-taking of the newly elected and appointed ASUL officers for 2026-2027, an insightful orientation to the program chosen by the students, and the discussion of bylaws. It also activated the elements of camaraderie were enriched through strategic teamwork which fosters relationships, enjoyment and trust among the students.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 | Laguna University bags its second win as they defeat FT San Luis in their second game of the tournament, with a final score of 85–75 at Santo Angel Sur Covered Court on August 13. Romeo Aguilar was named the game’s best player, leading the team to victory.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Laguna University Basketball Team delivered a statement performance against AMA Santa Cruz, cruising to a 149–30 victory in a one-sided matchup.

LU wasted no time taking control of the game, building a commanding 36–6 lead by the end of the first quarter. They continued to dictate the pace in the second quarter, extending the gap to 75–12 heading into halftime.

The dominance continued after the break as LU maintained their offensive pressure and defensive intensity, ending the third quarter with a 120–20 advantage. LU eventually closed out the game at 149–30, running away with the win over AMA Santa Cruz.

Jeff Dedeles was named the Best Player of the Game for his performance as LU sealed the victory.
