Okay, hot take — but not every post needs to “perform.” 🤯
Early in my social media career, I obsessed over likes, shares, comments — you know, the usual. I’d scrap perfectly good ideas just because I thought, “This won’t get enough engagement.”
But here’s something I learned the hard way — some of the most impactful posts are the ones no one talks about publicly.
I once posted a piece that flopped — barely any likes, no comments, nada. It felt like a total failure. But a week later, I got two DMs from potential clients saying:
“I saw that post and it really resonated. I didn’t comment, but I wanted to reach out.”
That’s when it hit me:
Not all engagement is visible.
People lurk. They absorb your content silently, deciding whether they trust you, whether they want to work with you — all without ever hitting “like.”
So if you’re only judging success by public metrics, you’re missing the bigger picture.
Here’s my advice:
🤍 Post the stuff that positions you, not just what performs.
🤍 Share the content that makes the right people stop and think — even if they never engage.
🤍 Remember: It’s about impact, not just interaction.
The algorithm can’t measure silent trust — but your business will feel it.
