𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | The Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Sta. Margarita is undergoing the Regional Seal of Good Local Governance Champions (RSGLGC) in Eastern Visayas Assessment today, September 16, 2025, at the SB Session Hall, legislative Bldg., LGU Compound.

The SGLG Regional Assessment Team, composed of the Regional Seal of Good Local Governance Champions in Eastern Visayas, is constituted of Local Government Operations Officers Nadem Ray E. Uy, Anthea-Mae P. Pascubillo, Jennilyn N. Almeria, Myla O. Nicolasora, Carolina O. Ampong, Marvin P. Blanco, and Airene Nacionales.

𝗦𝘁𝗮. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 "𝗞𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘄𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗼" 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁, 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀

Sta. Margarita, Samar – The Local Government of Sta. Margarita, in partnership with local farmers and agripreneurs, formally launched the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) Program, September 3, 2025, at the Sta. Margarita Covered Court’s perimeter.

The said program is an initiative aimed at linking local agri-food producers in the municipality to the public, providing both our farmers and local consumers more opportunities for market sales and access to local produce at an affordable cost.

The program offers a wide variety of freshly picked vegetables, fruits, fishery products, crops, and locally made products such as vinegar and pickled vegetables.

The Kadiwa ng Pangulo, locally known as “tabo,” is open daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM beside the Sta. Margarita Municipal Covered Court.

Sta. Margarita, Samar – With pride and honor, the people of Sta. Margarita erupted in celebration today, August 15, as they welcomed home their newly crowned Mutya han Samar 2025, Kyrus I. Babon, in a grand homecoming parade, marking the town’s historic victory.

Local government employees, schools, and residents of Sta. Margarita joined the celebration as they gathered, waving their support as the Mutya han Samar 2025 made its way through the parade. The procession began in Barangay Burabod to Barangay Ilo, and made its final stop at the municipal grounds, capping the event in proud moments for every Magsohongnon.

More than a celebration of Sta. Margarita’s triumph in this year’s Tandaya Festival, the event also stood as a testament to the unity and shared commitment of the local government and its people in their continuing journey toward greater achievements.

Sta. Margarita, Samar - From a warm welcome and inviting hospitality to well-orchestrated proceedings, the Local Government of Sta. Margarita triumphantly delivered a seamless stage production for Mutya han Samar 2025, standing proud with its accomplishment, with its sights set on a greater challenge, August 9, 2025.

Over three days, the municipality extended its warm hospitality to the twenty-three hopefuls, offering them a unique cultural experience rich in local stories and traditions.

Guided by the committed leadership of Mayor Felix Roma Panganoron and Vice-Mayor Soledad P. Deloraya, Sta. Margarita successfully structured its preparation - from a local eco-tourism visit and courtesy call to rehearsals and stage production - proving that the demands of a great challenge necessitate the time, support, and efforts of people working together.

Behind this finesse is the Municipal Tourism Office, manned by Mr. Lorenzo Latigo, in coordination with the Office of the Municipal Mayor, who did most of the work in the field, capping the event without a significant hitch.

As this challenge concluded in a graceful end, Sta. Margarita, the Mutya han Samar 2025 host, celebrates with beaming pride, standing proud for adding another bullet to her list of feats.
