Iskolarium: Pamayanan ng mga Iskolar at Pantas is the Official Student Publication of the PUP Santa Maria Bulacan Campus established in 2018. Iskolarium is the leading news and public information outlet of PUP Santa Maria operated exclusively by its students. Iskolarium is a student organization known for its progressive and critical articles, and a pro-people, pro-student and pro-democracy view points as a progressive campus publication.

Opisyal na Pahayag ng Iskolarium: Pamayanan ng mga Iskolar at Pantas Hinggil sa Patuloy na Paglaganap ng Korapsyon at Iba pang Nagsusulputang Katiwalian sa Bansa

Ang Iskolarium: Pamayanan ng mga Iskolar at Pantas, bilang opisyal na publikasyon na pinagbubuklod ng iisang hangarin para sa isang tunay, demokratiko, at maka-estudyanteng pamamahala ay patuloy sa aktibong pagmamatyag sa mga suliranin mapa-loob at labas man ng PUP-Santa Maria Bulacan Campus. Kaugnay nito, mariing kinokondena ng publikasyon ang patuloy na pagsulpot ng iba’t ibang anyo ng katiwalian—korapsyon, ghost projects, at maging pagsasawalang-bahala sa hinaing ng mamamayan.

Mga Iskolar ng Bayan, mga kawani, at mga guro—mag-ingay at makialam.

Hindi lang lubog kundi lunod na ang taongbayan sa tahasang pagnanakaw ng mga tiwaling opisyal at kontratista sa perang dapat ay napakikinabangan ng lahat, hindi ng iilang bulsa lamang. Umabot na sa trilyon ang halagang nagpapabusog sa mga ganid na buwayang patuloy pa rin sa paggawa ng kabi-kabilang katiwalian. Malinaw itong manipestasyon ng burukrata kapitalismo na patuloy ang pagpapabansot sa ekonomiya at sa pagpapabagal ng usad ng pag-unlad ng ating bansa.
Batay sa datos na inilabas ng National Adaptation Plan of the Philippines (NAP), Bulacan ang mayroong pinakaraming flood control projects na may kabuuang bilang na 668. Sa kabilang banda, P545 bilyon na ang nailaan para sa flood management nitong nakaraang tatlong taon, ngunit 20% nito ay napunta lamang sa 15 contractors. Ayon sa Commission on Audit (COA) sa kanilang inspeksyon, ang ilan sa mga inaasahang flood control projects ng Bulacan ay non-existent, nasa ibang site, o substandard. Harap-harapan nang ninanakawan ang bayan. Ang mga proyektong dapat na magtutuldok sa taon-taong pagbaha sa lalawigan ng Bulacan ay hindi man lang mapakinabangan. Sa patuloy na pagbaha ng iba’t ibang pangalang sangkot sa pagbubulsa ng bilyon-bilyong pondo, mayroon ba itong patutunguhan? Panahon na upang mayroong managot!

Bunga ng kawalan nang maayos na flood management, tumaas ang kaso ng Leptospirosis at Dengue sa iba’t ibang lugar.. Ang mga pampublikong ospital ay naging siksikan na at puno dahilan ng paghantong sa pagdedeklara ng Leptospirosis surge. Perwisyo sa mamamayan at maging sa mga medical workers ang dulot ng krisis na ito na kung tutuusin ay hindi naman dapat na problemahin kung ang pondo sa flood control projects ay tunay na nagagamit at hindi kinukupit.

Dagdag pa rito, naungkat din ang planong bagong Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital sa Santa Maria, na mayroong P380 milyong pondo. Ayon sa website ng DPWH, 100% completed na ang kontrata ngunit mga bakal pa lamang para sa pundasyon ang nakatayo sa ngayon dahil sa hindi umanong 11 milyon pang kulang na budget para sa geosynthetics. Ang naturang proyekto ay nasa ilalim ng kontrobersiyal na Great Pacific Builders and General Contractor, Inc. na pagmamay-ari ng mga Discaya. Ang inaasahang 3-storey na ospital ay pundasyon pa lamang kaya naman patuloy pa rin sa pagtitiis ang mamamayan ng Santa Maria sa nag-iisang pampublikong ospital ng bayan.

Wala ring saysay kahit isang milyong letra pa ang isalita ng mga opisyal lalo ni Marcos kung hindi maramdaman ang paggawa. Lalo pa at ang pangako ay nagmula sa bibig ng parte ng isang dinastiyang politikal na konektado rin sa pagnanakaw ng buwis na dapat ay sa bayan. Makialam at kalampagin ang mga dapat managot.

Symbolizing bravery and boldness; Gryffindor represents the fearless storytellers who are unafraid to pursue the truth. Their pens are their wands, writing articles that open eyes and minds.

BALITA | Isang Bagong Simula: Balik Sinta 2025, Idinaos sa PUPSMB

Idinaos sa Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Santa Maria Bulacan Campus (PUPSMBC) ang Balik Sinta 2025 na may temang Balik Sinta 2025 “Aarangkada na, kay sinta ay muling magkikita!” noong ika-walo ng Setyembre sa PUPSMB gymnasium.

Samantala, pinangunahan ng Master of Ceremony ang pagsisimula ng programa, na sinundan ng pag-awit Lupang Hinirang at Doksolohiya. Kasunod nito ay ang opening remarks mula kay Dr. Arman DC. Santos, Campus Director.

Nagkaroon din ng roll call sa bawat organisasyon at maikling panayam para sa mga estudyante mula rin sa iba’t ibang organisasyon.

Ipinresenta naman ni Ms. April Jerraldine Porciuncula, outgoing Student Council President, ang ulat ng Accomplishment ng Student Council para sa A.Y. 2024-2025, sumunod namang inilahad ni Ms. Jhedalyn P. Rojas ang Ulat Pinansyal ng Student Council.

Samantala, nagbigay naman ng isang espesyal na pagtatanghal ang Goldstar PepSquad bago ang pormal na pagpapakilala sa mga opisyal ng mga organisasyong pang-akademiko at di-pang-akademiko, gayundin ng mga Commission Officers.

Sinundan ito ng panunumpa ng tungkulin ng mga bagong halal na mga officers mula sa Student Council, Hospitality Management Society (HMSOC), Association of Future Teachers (AFT), Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), Alliance of Computer Engineering Students (ACES), Integrated Student in Information Technology Education (ISITE), Chamber of Entrepreneurs and Managers (CEM), at SY Quest Diploma In Office Management Technology (DOMT).

Nagbigay rin ng presentasyon si Ms. Roxanne Reyes,Student Council President, ukol sa General Program of Activities (GPOA) at Budget Proposal. Dagdag pa rito, nag-alay ng pagtatanghal ang Center of Culture and Arts (CCA).

Sa pagtatapos ng programa, ibinahagi ni Ma. Angelica Yvhon C. Dela Cruz,Vice President for Internal Affairs, ang closing remarks, kung saan binigyang-diin niya na “This event has shown us that school is not the only place of learning but also a home where friendship is made, paths are discovered and dreams are nurtured”. Nagtapos ang programa sa pag-awit ng PUP Hymn.

Sa tuwing bumubuhos ang ulan,
sa bawat pag-apaw ng ilog at kanal,
pangako nilang may haharang, may pipigil,
may pader laban sa unos.

At doon, itinuro nila sa atin ang Sinagtala—
isang bituin ng pag-asa,
isang ilaw na dapat gumabay
sa mga nalulunod na mamamayan.

Ngunit bakit, sa halip na ilaw,
dilim ang bumalot?
Bilyon-bilyong pondo ang inilaan,
ngunit saan dinala?
Mga proyektong multo,

JUST IN | The morning session for General Acessembly has been successfully conducted. The event started at exactly 8am, opened by the doxology and singing of the national anthem. Preceeded by an opening remark from the ACES co-advisor, Mr. John Ryan G. Dalmacio, a keynote speech from the guest speaker, Mr. Enrico Jasper Santos, and messages from officers and out-going officers alike.
