𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Grade 6 learners of Diosdado P. Macapagal Elementary School (DPMES) take advantage of their free time by reading in the newly upgraded school library, which was recently equipped with air conditioners to create a more comfortable and conducive reading environment.

The school aims to promote regular reading time at the library as a support strategy to address learning gaps in reading, complementing its existing reading programs.

Diosdado P. Macapagal Elementary School (DPMES) served as the venue for the Congressional District IV School Paper Advisers Coordination Meeting held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the school library.

Facilitated by Mrs. Grizchelle O. De Vera, publication adviser of Tomas Morato Elementary School (TMES) and district journalism coordinator, the meeting focused on the planning and implementation of campus journalism activities, including school-based and district level trainings, as well as the annual District Schools Press Conference.

The meeting was attended by school paper advisers from various schools in Congressional District IV and was graced by Dr. Winston Luna, principal of Camp Crame Elementary School (CCES) and the district principal-in-charge of journalism.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐋𝐀𝐂 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Mathematics Department of Diosdado P. Macapagal Elementary School conducted a Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on Thursday, July 17, 2025, to discuss key updates and strategies for enhancing teaching and learning in Mathematics.

The session focused on the following agenda: Administration of the Rapid Mathematics Assessment for Key Stage 2, Integrating Khan Academy in the Classroom to Improve Learning Outcomes, Lesson Planning Based on the K to 12 Curriculum, and Utilization of Gokongwei Brothers Foundation Learning Materials.

The session was attended by all Grades 4-6 class advisers and was facilitated by Mrs. Mylene D. Dela Cruz, School Mathematics Coordinator, and Mrs. Mary Ann S. Coloma, Master Teacher In-Charge for Mathematics.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝐃𝐏𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐊𝟏𝟐 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠

To better serve the learners, the Grades 2, 3, 5 and newly-hired teachers of Diosdado P. Macapagal Elementary School (DPMES) attended a three-day School-Based Training of Teachers on the Revised K to 12 Curriculum held simultaneously at the school library and conference room on July 3-5, 2025.

Mrs. Wilma C. Obras, the school principal, expressed her gratitude and pride in the teachers for exerting extra effort in deepening their understanding of the curriculum which she said would be instrumental in delivering the best quality education to learners.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Josephine L. Cuaresma, Master Teacher I, challenged the participants to apply all the insights and knowledge they had gained during the three-day training.

“Professional development doesn’t end when the session does. It begins in the classroom,” she reminded everyone.

Ms. Maria Angela B. Torres, Teacher I, warmly accepted the challenge on behalf of all the participants.

Teachers who previously attended the division level training served as facilitators/trainers during the school-based sessions.

For Grade 2, Mrs. Mary Ann S. Coloma facilitated the sessions; for Grade 3, Mr. Arlan P. Soliven; and for Grade 5, Mrs. Julita F. Reintar, Mrs. Johsie G. Garcia, Ms. Eleanor B. Guzman, Mrs. Rosalinda F. Licardo, Mrs. Ma. Teresa F. Ong, Ms. Mary Joy R. Rejoy, and Mrs. Belinda P. Parallag.

Upang maitaguyod ang pagkakaroon ng disiplina at mabuting-asal ng mga mag-aaral, muling paiigtingin ng Diosdado P. Macapagal Elementary School (DPMES) ang Code of Conduct and Discipline nito ngayong Taong Panuruan 2025–2026.

Layunin nito na sa mapanatiling ligtas at maayos ang bawat mag-aaral habang sila ay nasa pag-aalaga ng paaralan sa tulong din ng pakikiisa at paggabay ng kanilang mga magulang.

Pinangunahan ni G. Ricarte D. Dacles, School Discipline Coordinator, ang serye ng talakayan kasama ang mga g**o upang matiyak ang pare-parehong pagpapatupad ng mga alituntunin sa lahat ng baitang.

Ang naturang Code ay muli ring tatalakayin sa mga Homeroom Parent-Teacher Association (HRPTA) Meeting upang maipaliwanag sa lahat ng magulang at tagapag-alaga at mahikayat ang mga itong makipagtulungan sa pagpapatupad nito.

Sa ilalim ng Policy on Discipline, pinaaalalahanan ang mga mag-aaral na dumalo sa flag ceremony nang maaga, iwasan ang pagiging late at madalas na pagliban, kumuha ng hall pass kapag lalabas ng silid-aralan, magsuot ng tamang uniporme at ID, at huwag magdala ng mga gadget nang walang pahintulot.

Kabilang din sa mga alituntunin sa kaayusan ang maayos na gupit para sa mga batang lalaki, wastong pagsusuot ng hikaw para sa mga batang babae, at ang pagbabawal sa tattoo at body painting.

Kabilang naman sa Policy on Good Behavior ang paggamit ng magagalang na pananalita, maayos na pakikitungo sa kapuwa, pagpapanatili ng kalinisan, at pagsunod sa mga patakarang pangkaligtasan at seguridad sa loob ng paaralan.

Ang Code na ito ay gawa ni G. Dacles at unang ipinatupad noong Taong Panuruan 2023–2024.
