JUST IN | PUP Institute of Technology (PUP ITech) opens limited slots for waitlisted PUPCET applicants in select diploma programs.

As posted on PUP's official page, the available programs include:
• Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology (DCET)
• Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology (DEET)
• Diploma in Information Technology (DIT)
• Diploma in Office Management Technology (DOMT)
• Diploma in Railway Engineering Management Technology (DREMT)

However, all slots for Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering Technology programs have already been filled. Interested applicants are advised to apply immediately, as slots are limited.

ADVISORY | PUP Manila Year-End Commencement Exercises for all undergraduate programs will now be held from September 16 to 20, 2025 at the PUP Gymnasium, Sta. Mesa Campus.

Likewise, PUP Graduate School shall hold their ceremony on October 9, 2025 within the same venue.

Graduating students are divided into 10 clusters, with 2 clusters allotted each day from September 16 to 20, and October 9, 2025. Commencement rites of two clusters on each day shall occur from 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM, respectively.

In an official statement released from PUP's official page, alternative viable venues were found unavailable within the University's academic calendar thus resulting in holding this year's graduation rites on campus grounds.

Recently, internal announcements of graduation schedule and venue were given to the PUP Community, sparking heated discussions from graduating students, their parents, and guardians alike.

ADVISORY | ‎E-mails containing an Advisory Announcement of the University's expiration of institutional subscription to Microsoft Office 365 were sent today, July 17 at 11:30 AM by PUP SINTA Admin Support.

‎According to the notice, the University's subscription expired on June 30 and is currently on a 30-day grace period until July 30. All access beyond this date will shift to a free version of all Office applications and services.
‎
‎Students are urged to back up their files, documents, and important materials that are stored in their MS Office accounts, update email addresses for services linked to their PUP Webmail, and use alternative web-based productivity tools, among others.
‎
‎The University Management will issue a separate advisory once the subscription is renewed.

In pursuit of steadfast and pro-people journalism, The Catalyst proudly introduces its newly selected editors for the Illustration and Cartooning Section, following the successful commencement of the Special Illustration and Cartooning Section Head Exam.

After rigorous deliberation and a thorough review of their performance, they, along with the entire Editorial Board, will uphold the publication’s commitment to pro-people journalism:

• 𝗝𝗢𝗦𝗛𝗨𝗔 𝗝𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗬 – Head Illustrator
• 𝗝𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘 𝗦𝗬 – Associate Head Illustrator

The Special Illustration and Cartooning Section Head Exam was organized by the Committee for Internal Communications, wherein it consisted of two parts: a practical submission and an interview, held on July 3 and 5, respectively.

Submissions were evaluated by members of past editorial boards of the publication, while interview performances were assessed by the 37th Editorial Board, alongside the Graphics Editor acting as the Officer-In-Charge Head Illustrator.

The publication believes that strengthening its leadership is one of the ways it can better serve the student body and uphold its mandate of truth and service. We pray for the continued support of the studentry in the publication's future endeavors. Only by learning from and with the masses can the publication remain true to its oath: "To write not for the people is nothing."

JUST IN | The 2025 Year-End graduation has been moved to October 7-11 and will be held at the PUP Gymnasium as announced by local colleges today, July 15.

It was originally set to be held from September 9-11, then moved to September 16-18 at the Philippine International Convention Center.

Earlier this year, the PICC announced that it will undergo construction on the following dates.

Following these, the PUP Sentral na Konseho ng Mag-aaral and PUP Student Council Assembly released a sensing form for graduating students.

Feedback gathered from the student body shall be included in the formal appeal that will be submitted to the school administration.

Alam mo ba na pwede mo nang macheck ang slot availability ng mga courses sa PUP? Yes, possible ‘yan! Kailangan mo lang ng bonafide PUP student na willing tumulong pero syempre, consent is a must!

LOOK | PUP Manila Administration expresses support for the National Polytechnic University Bill in today's flag raising ceremony, July 14.

Admin staffers and students alike notably wear white and some carry flaglets containing phrases such as "Support NPU Bill!"

This is in connection with circulating reports of students receiving files to be printed that contain pro-NPU Bill sentiments and even instructions to wear white in solidarity for the vetoed bill.

The team represents the University and the Philippines at the Cheng Hoo International Basketball Tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia until July 19.

JUST IN | Naiulat na mayroong ipinasang "file" sa ilang mga estudyante ng PUP Sta. Rosa campus na naglalaman ng mga panawagang "PUP-NPU Flaglets", upang i-print ito para sa magaganap na flag-raising ceremony sa kanilang campus bukas, ayon sa Ang Alpas, opisyal na pahayagang mag-aaral ng naturang campus.

Laman ng file ang mga pahayag na "Save PUP Campuses!" at "I Support NPU!".

Bahagi ang gawain na ito sa "simultaneous" na flag ceremony sa lahat ng PUP Campus kung saan inanyayahan ang mga estudyante na dumalo at magsuot ng puting pang-itaas.

Wala ring kahit anong pormal na anunsyo ang Sta. Rosa Campus sa mga opisyal nitong plataporma patungkol dito.

IN PHOTOS | PUP Sining-lahi Polyrepertory performed their comedy production 'Ang Huling Pork N' Beans ni Aling Mildred' at the Tanghalang PUP.

The show was an open house and ran on July 10-11. 'Ang Huling Pork N' Beans ni Aling Mildred' presents the story of Aling Mildred's neighbors as they compete for the last can of pork and beans in her sari-sari store.

Hati ang Sintang Paaralan sa nagbadyang pagsasabatas ng National Polytechnic University Bill. Sa mga kaguruan at kawani, tulay ang NPU Bill tungo sa mas epektibong paggana ng mga pasilidad at ng maging ibang PUP Campuses. Sa mga Iskolar, tagumpay ang pagbasura ng NPU Bill na anila'y komersyalisasyon, pribatisasyon, at mga neoliberal na polisiya ang bitbit.

Sa gitna ng umiigting na diskusyon sa pagitan ng dalawang panig, basahin ang pananaw ng ilan sa kawani at estudyanteng may mataas na paninilbihan sa pamantasan.
