Welcome to the adulting stage! 🫨
Where you carry responsibilities you never imagined, chase dreams you’re still figuring out, and deal with pressures you don’t always talk about.

You’re balancing work, bills, expectations, and even your own heart. All while trying to understand who you are and what you really want.

And along the way, may mga taong magsasabi na ā€œkulang ka,ā€ ā€œmali ka,ā€ or ā€œdapat ganito ka na.ā€
Don’t listen to the noise.
They don’t know your battles, your pace, or the weight you carry.

If no one told you today, you’re doing your best, and that’s enough.
Your journey doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
Keep going, you’re becoming the person you were meant to be.

We don’t sail to become someone’s ā€œemergency fund.ā€

We help when we can, because we know what struggle feels like.
But remember, even helpers get tired too. People think seafarers are rich just because they earn in dollars
but they don’t see the loneliness, exhaustion, and sacrifices behind every paycheck.
Each cent is earned through blood, sweat, and nights away from family.
We miss home, yet we keep going, not for luxury, but for survival and responsibility.

Yes, we earn. But we also have bills, debts, and dreams to sustain.
We don’t sail to become someone’s ā€œemergency fund.ā€
We sail to build a future, not to carry everyone else’s load.

So when you borrow from a seafarer, remember that money isn’t easy money.
It is time, distance, and sacrifice turned into cash.
If you borrow, do your best to pay it back.
Don’t make their hard-earned money your comfort zone
because while they fight waves to survive, you should be fighting your own storms too.

One of the saddest things about being a SEAFARER is knowing you might never cross paths again with the people who made your contract easier and more bearable.

We joke around a lot, laugh at the smallest things, and sometimes argue too but when it comes to work, we always have each other’s backs. Especially when it comes to safety. Out here, you learn that teamwork isn’t just about finishing the job, it’s about keeping each other safe and sane.

We might end up on different ships one day, but the bond and memories we built will always stay.

ā€œIn that mirror, I don’t just see my tired haggard face, I see the reason I keep going.ā€

After a long day of work, I stood in front of the mirror inside the changing room. With my coverall soaked in sweat, my hands smelled like rust and grease, and my body felt heavy. The silence in that small room made me realize how far I am from home. Far from the laughter of friends, from the warmth of my family.

Sometimes, I ask myself, ā€œKaya ko pa ba?ā€ But then I remember why I’m here. Every sacrifice, every lonely night, every wave I face out here, it all has a purpose. It’s for my family’s comfort, and the dreams we’re slowly turning into reality.

The mirror shows a tired man, yes but also a fighter. A dreamer who’s willing to trade his comfort. And someday, when I look at this same reflection back home, I’ll smile and say, ā€œIt was all worth it.ā€

where DREAMS meet REALITY

A uniform looked clean, and the dream looked easy.
Back then, I thought I knew what ā€œlife at seaā€ really meant. calm waters, adventures, and success.

But the truth is… it’s heat, sweat, and long days away from home. It’s learning humility through hard work, and strength through exhaustion.

I used to wear that uniform with pride, dreaming of the day I’d finally step on deck.
Now, I wear dirt, oil stains, and experience, and somehow, I’m even prouder.

Because this is where dreams meet reality.
Where every drop of sweat reminds you why you started.

To every seafarer out there, keep going.
The sea doesn’t promise comfort, but it always rewards those who stay strong.
