NC-BEC Conducts Earthquake Drill to Strengthen Campus Preparedness

The Northeastern College – Basic Education Center (NC-BEC) conducted an earthquake drill on November 6, 2026, at the BEC Grounds to enhance disaster preparedness and strengthen safety awareness among students and staff.

The drill simulated an earthquake scenario in which students practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique before safely evacuating to designated areas. To make the exercise more realistic, three students acted as conscious victims, while two portrayed unconscious ones.

The school’s Boy Scout Unit and Medical Team worked together to perform rescue and first-aid operations, demonstrating coordination and quick response during emergencies. Faculty coordinators and safety officers supervised the activity to ensure the smooth and accurate ex*****on of procedures.

The earthquake drill underscored the importance of preparedness, cooperation, and presence of mind in ensuring safety during unforeseen disasters.
