Rosario National High School (RoNHS) held its significant State of the Learners Government Address (SOLGA) 2026, on March 19, 2026. The event celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of student leaders, showcasing their yearlong achievements from the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), Youth for Environment in Schools-Organization (YES-O), Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB), and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management–Youth Organization (DRRM-YO).

Presidents of each organization led the presentation of their respective accomplishments and initiatives for School Year (S.Y.) 2025–2026, highlighting their readiness, commitment, and leadership as student representatives.

The newly elected leaders expressed gratitude to the students who voted and placed their trust in them as the next set of RoNHS youth leaders.

SOLGA 2026 was made successful through the guidance of the advisers of each organization: SSLG advisers Sir Ronaldo S. Confieso and Ma’am Kimberly Allysa Gollayan; YES-O advisers Ma’am Amy A. Ballad and Sir Rey Mataga; BKB adviser Ma’am Nesolyn D. Lamagon; and DRRM-YO adviser Sir Randy B. Tolentino. Faculty members, coordinators, and the strong support of the School Head, Sir Constantino T. Agpalo II, also played key roles in ensuring the program’s success.

The event was graced by guest speaker Sir Christian C. Echija, LPT, Project Development Officer I of SDO Santiago City, who delivered an inspiring message to all youth leaders and facilitated the oath-taking of the newly elected officers.

“Service does not end here. It is something we carry wherever we go. Positions may fade, but our actions remain,” Echija reminded the student leaders.

Newly elected SSLG President Roanne Gayle T. Estabillo also expressed her gratitude to the student body for their support and vowed to accomplish more projects in the coming next school year.

Organizations were recognized and honored for their exemplary service throughout S.Y. 2025–2026, celebrating the dedication of young leaders across RoNHS.

SOLGA 2026 concluded successfully, leaving a meaningful reminder to all Rosarians: that developing one’s skills is a continuous journey—valuable not only within the school, but also in the wider community.

The four-day activity aimed to strengthen the competence and professionalism of technical officials and coaches from various sports events.

Several classrooms in the school served as lecture venues for the different training sessions conducted during the activity.

Preparations were carried out to ensure the comfort of participants throughout their stay at the school.

According to Disaster Risk Reduction and Management or DRRM Adviser Randy B. Tolentino, the DRRM team played an important role in ensuring the safety of the participants during the entire training.

Tolentino said the DRRM team monitored the venue, conducted safety inspections, and prepared an emergency response plan in case of unexpected incidents.

Tolentino also emphasized that coordination among the DRRM team, school personnel, and event organizers helped ensure proper crowd management, sanitation, and security throughout the event.

According to Youth for Environment in Schools‐Organization or YES-O President Rubie May Palisoc, their organization assisted in welcoming and checking the participants upon their arrival.

Palisoc said YES-O members ensured the guests were comfortable during their temporary stay in the school.

“We assisted and checked the participants on the day of their arrival. We made sure they were comfortable during their temporary stay at the school,” Palisoc said.

She added that preparations were also made to maintain cleanliness in the school environment.

RoNHS launches Project LIGTAS for Fire Prevention Month 2026

In line with the national observance of Fire Prevention Month, Rosario National High School (RoNHS) officially launched Project LIGTAS (Laging Ihanda, Gabay Tungo sa Aksyon at Seguridad) this March 1–30, 2026. The initiative aimed to strengthen students’ awareness on fire safety and emergency preparedness.

The program was led by the school’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management-Youth Organization (DRRM-YO) officers, headed by adviser Sir Randy B. Tolentino, who emphasized the importance of equipping learners with practical knowledge on fire prevention.

Two distinguished guest speakers from SDO Santiago Fire Station—FOI Rogelio L. Trinidad Jr. and FOI Christine Antonette B. Casil—graced the event and shared critical insights on fire safety.

FOI Trinidad opened the discussion with “Common Causes of House Fires,” highlighting preventive measures that households, schools, and communities must observe. He also demonstrated the proper way to extinguish a burning LPG tank through on-site examples conducted at the school grounds.

“Do not run or leave a burning LPG tank unattended. Instead, carefully tip it over and bring it outside, away from people,” Trinidad advised during the demonstration.

Following this, FOI Casil discussed the correct operation of a fire extinguisher—how to open, control, and safely shut it off. She also reminded students about essential emergency responses such as calling the fire station hotline and following designated exit routes during a fire.

The activity became even more engaging as selected RoNHS students experienced hands-on exercises, including putting out a burning LPG tank, using a fire extinguisher, and handling a fire hose nozzle from a fire truck.

The program concluded with the awarding of certificates to the guest speakers in recognition of their valuable contributions to promoting fire awareness and safety within the school.

Project LIGTAS served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of preparedness—ensuring that every RoNHS learner is informed, alert, and ready to act in times of emergency.
