National Science and Engineering Fair Philippines

As the Rice Granary of the Philippines, Nueva Ecija plays a vital role in food production and economic growth. Many farmers apply a lot of fertilizer to grow crops; but according to studies, excessive use of fertilizer can harm the soil and burden farmers with high costs.

So, we need a better solution!

We, the young researchers of Sto. Domingo National Trade School had innovated an intelligent machine to optimize fertilizer application.

FERTINNOVA, an Arduino-powered colorimetric soil testing device that provides real-time nutrient analysis, helping farmers apply the right amount and exact type of fertilizer to maximize crop yield and protect the environment.
