Dearest Disciple,

I see you. I know how challenging it can be to follow. We’ve walked through the same paths — the hesitation, the questions, the weight of obedience.

Yes, your relationship with God is the most important thing. But sometimes, God deepens that relationship through the leaders He places in our lives.

Your leader may be a mother, an employee, a business owner, a professional — someone carrying battles you don’t always see.
Be a helper.
Be a light beside them in a world that’s already heavy.

And if being that light looks as simple as responding, showing up, committing, then choose to do so.

Is it hard to reply to a message?
Is it hard to say yes to sunday service?

Your leader may get hurt along the journey — but they keep choosing to serve, because they are serving God through loving you.
They still love you.
They still carry you in prayer.
They still hope for your growth.

I am surrendering you to the hands of the One who can mold the heart.
But I will continue to check on you — not because it’s my job, but because this is my worship to Him.

Love,
Leader.

‭1 Corinto 13:13
Tatlong bagay ang nananatili:
ang pagtitiwala, pag-asa, at pag-ibig. Ngunit ang pinakadakila sa mga ito ay ang PAG-IBIG.

To be a protector of Sierra Madre, you don’t need to be a superhero with a cape. Sometimes, it begins with being someone who cares enough to act, even in small, steady ways. Sierra Madre is like the spine of Luzon: it holds us upright, shields us from storms, and quietly breathes life into our rivers and forests. But a shield also needs people who will guard it back. 🌿⛰️

Here are real, doable ways to stand as a protector:

1. START WITH AWARENESS

Learn about Sierra Madre:

Why it’s called the Backbone of Luzon

How it shields us from typhoons

What threats it currently faces (deforestation, mining, land conversion)

Knowing why we protect makes how to protect clearer.

2. MIND YOUR OWN CONSUMPTION

Deforestation isn’t just someone cutting trees in the mountains—
it starts with our daily habits:

Buy less single-use products

Support local farmers and communities near Sierra Madre

Choose brands that are eco-conscious

Every mindful choice is like placing one leaf back on a drying tree.

3. SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS Working on the Ground

You don’t have to be there physically to protect it:

Look for groups like:

Haribon Foundation

Masungi Georeserve

Local church or youth groups doing tree-planting

Donate time, funds, or even just help share their campaigns.

4. BE BRAVE ENOUGH TO SPEAK

If someone says, “Wala naman magbabago kahit magsalita ka,”
that’s when your voice is needed most.

Share stories. Educate. Post awareness (but make it thoughtful, not just trendy).

Sometimes, the forest needs a voice—and it borrows ours.

5. Join Tree-Planting & Forest Patrol Activities

There are guided tree-plantings and forest walks:

You learn

You contribute

You experience what you are fighting for

When you touch the soil, it changes how your heart beats.

6. PRAY FOR THE LAND AND THE PROTECTORS

If you’re someone who prays: Pray for:

Forest rangers (many risk their lives)

Indigenous peoples who have always been the protectors of the land

Wisdom for leaders to make righteous decisions

Some battles are seen. Some are fought in silence.

7. Let It Begin in Your Sphere

You don’t need to start grand. Maybe today, you teach a child why trees are sacred. Maybe tomorrow, you refuse a plastic bag. Maybe next month, you join a forest trek.

Protection is not one loud act. It is consistent love in motion.

In Simpler Words:

To protect Sierra Madre is to love the land—and to show it through your lifestyle, your voice, your actions, and your prayers.

You protect her by living like the world is still worth saving. 🌏

PROTECT THEM AT ALL COST.
ALAGAAAN!
PROTEKTAHAN AT PANGALAGAAN

This morning, I attended a prayer meet-up, and the message was centered on the faith of Bartimaeus. Bartimaeus was blind, and when he heard that Jesus was passing by, he shouted for help. Some people tried to silence him, telling him to be quiet, but Bartimaeus continued to shout until Jesus noticed him. Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." Then He asked Bartimaeus, "What do you want me to do for you?" Bartimaeus replied, "I want to see." Jesus responded, "Go, your faith has healed you."

One of my churchmates pointed out that while Bartimaeus was physically blind, he remained spiritually focused on Jesus, believing that only Jesus could heal him.

Despite the people around him trying to hinder his cries for help, Bartimaeus persevered. There are often many obstacles that try to stop us, circumstances that bring doubt, and struggles that can blind us to our faith.

This story teaches us that through our faith, we can find healing. It can be challenging to continue serving and maintaining our faith when struggles arise and we feel tired of pushing through. Yet, we should strive to be like Bartimaeus. Although we may face physical blindness to our circumstances, we must keep our souls and spirits focused on the fact that God is our healer. The pain we experience now cannot compare to the joy that is to coming.

I came across a comment from my favorite vlogger, who shares video about the "ayuda" her daughter received while living in Alaska. In her video, she asked her followers if they received similar support.

I was amazed by this comment knowing that it is possible to receive/received the same school supplies assistance + allowance in the Philippines.

Ano kaya ang meron sa Pasig na wala sa iba?

Looking for a music that is an excellent choice for personal devotion or quiet time?

I highly recommend "SAFE" by Victory Worship. It has a meaningful lyrics that serves as a powerful reminder of God's constant presence and protection 🥰🥰

Lyrics here:

Under Your grace, Your mercy amazes me
Under Your wings, Your shadow covers me
Your promise of love, where my heart is safely undone

Speak to me Lord, Your servant is listening
Over the noise, I hear You whispering
My hope has come and my heart is safely undone

I found my fortress, in You
And my soul is anchored, with You
My resting place, is in Your name
Forever safe

Speak to me Lord, Your servant is listening
Over the noise, I hear You whispering
My hope has come and my heart is safely undone, oh

I found my fortress, in You
And my soul is anchored, with You
My resting place, is in Your name
I found my fortress, in You
And my soul is anchored, with You
My resting place, is in Your name
